hey fellas,
I'm new to the soarer scene and anything above a 4cyl. Apologies to the moderators if my post is in the wrong section.
Current setup: Straight 6 NA (auto) Central cat removed from exhaust. Dual cannon mufflers.
Problem: Droning, lack of "growl". Exhaust note resembles a fart unless I give it gas, during which some form of rumbling appears. Otherwise, its an awful monotone throughout the journey.
Budget: 500?
Can anyone give me some advice on what to replace? I'm staying around pennant hills. Reckon there are nice exhaust places in the vicinity.

Replace the fart cannons with some resonable quality mufflers and all will be well. $500au should be enough to source something pretty high quality, fitting shouldn't cost much at all.

Yes, the JZZ31 mufflers actually sound pretty sweet once you remove the cats, so thats definitely an option. How much are Lurkeys these days Mike? They would probably sound even better...

Just came back from Performance Exhaust at Northmead. Car was purchased with supercat mufflers. Anyway, resonators were fitted in and a high flow cat was added on to replace the old one.
Cost was 550 inc GST. Was it an ok pricing? Might have overpaid for the cat convertor though. However, Haks was pretty friendly and was easy to deal with.
