Hi i have spark arking from my leads. The spark is coming from where the leads plug onto my distributor.
The engine misses every time it does so.
I know this is not normal and its becoming a real pain in the back side,is there a common fix for this?
All so where might i be able to buy a new distributor cap, rotter button and leads?
My local repco and alike say they dont supply these parts.Any help would be sweet, cheers.

Replace the leads. Not too expensive for the 2JZ. While you are at it check the rotor button too. Any Toyota dealer or automotive supply shop should be able to help. You can use leads and cap from any model Toyota with the 2JZ-GE.

go to wreckers, or yellow page some jap wreckers around melbourne, give them a call and they should be able to post them down to you.

I bought a set of leads new that were marked for a Chaser - fitted perfectly. One of the clips broke a year or so later so I had to jerry rig a tie down to hold it in place, but other that that they have been very good. Cost me all of $60 as I recall. Buttons and caps are cheap enough from Toyota so I always go OEM on those.
