It does not have a TV tuner. I have no idea how easy it might be to add the DVD and reversing camera, not having considered doing so. You could also ask at www.altezzaclub.org.au
Thanks. Yeah I've done some looking around last night, there are a few options, so certainly possible. Another useful site is http://my.is/forums/ they seem to have more content.
I am not sure if the solutions they have there are USDM IS300 specific or not, since I havent got an aussie one yet, once I get one, it will become clearer for me what is possible and what isn't it, when I physically compare the features. I'm sure there will be something. Right now the Oz IS is a mystery to me haha.

Well, I did an oil and filter change for my mother in law on her 1G-FE Altezza - my god what a horrid job!
Used to my Soarers easy top access oil filter, even my wifes Nissan is fairly easy.
The Altezza is the same layout at the 2JZ - the oil filter is on the side of the block under the inlet ports - unfortunately the inlet manifold is only millimeters away from the inner guards, so you can't even see the oil filter from the top of the car.
From the bottom of the car things are not much better, you have to squeeze your arm between the left hand steering tie rod and the lower wishbone, and feel around blind until you can find the filter.
Unfortunately my mother in law hadn't changed the oil in two years, and the filter was basically glued to the block, so I could not budge it by hand. There was no room for my filter spanner, so I managed to get a large screwdriver in by removing all the underside covers and inserting it behind the engine mount, and bashed it through the old filter. Managed to get about 1/16th of a turn out of it before the screw driver hit the engine mount, then tried to move the filter again by hand.
Still no joy - hot oil now pouring down into my hair and eyes.
Drive screwdriver through filter again (quite difficult now due to first hole) - another 1/16th of a turn and finally success!
Putting the new filter on wasn't too bad even though you can't see anything.
Worst oil change I have ever done. What were Toyota thinking with that one!
Ten shampoos later and my hair still smells of very dirty motor oil.
Kind of put me of Altezza's - I'm guessing the 2JZ versions probably won't be much better as the same basic lack of room on the inlet side is probably still there.

Yeah, 65,000KM on the same oil and filter! Not a drop of oil used according to her either! So I guess despite its stupid placement in the engine bay, its still a damn fine engine! Of course I'm sure it will start using oil in the near future with that kind of abuse.
She also didn't realise she had to change the cam belt, so I'll be doing that some time in the near future too, I'll let you know how tough a job that is!
