Im looking at changing cars but i want to get opinions of the cars worth first.

Im the only NZ owner and have sunk a lot of money into the car which i know ill never see again.

The car is a 1991 model as most are with following options:

Sunroof - most know i had this changed from my other soarer.Pro job $4000

1997 body kit allround

New radiator top and overflow bottle.

New platinum plugs, leads and distributor caps and rotors

New rear tyres,Front excellent.

New all round cross drilled and slotted rotors.Look awesome in black.

Alpine stereo with 6 and 12 stack cd.TV works with remote and its hooked into the rear camera.

Alpine alarm system that can start the car, close the sunroof and close the windows and open the boot.

Factory rear air purification system.

Front parking antenna

Lexus badges all round

Heated memory seats

Paint is good but not prefect. Before i decided to look at selling i went to my panel beater and for cash was going to be $300 to fix the few bits and pieces. He was also going fit the jdm eyebrows to the headlights and side mirror addons to make them look like mercs with the indicator lights.

Other bits i would include are full stock soarer bumper with the turning lights, side marker lights and bottom rubber lip,all 4 factory rotors, rear lights and an HID headlight kit i havent fitted yet.

Car has 139,000 kms

So what you guys think???

Fred, I would think you could get NZ$15,000 for it, but then only if it was an enthusiast. I think the age of the car puts off most buyers these days, so then you are limited to people with a good knowledge of the car who can appreciate the work you've put into it.

I say $15,000 because that's at least $5,000 more than all other (good condition) V8 Soarers I have seen sell on TradeMe in the last 12 months, and I think $5,000 wouldn't be too much more to ask if you could persuade an interested buyer of the value they are getting.

Have you replaced any of the bushes, and how long have you had the car?

They sent the lower arms to Hamilton to do the bushes but they thought the balljoints had to be done so the arms had to be sent again to actually do the bushes.Ofcouse i didnt have to pay for the balljoints.

I'd be very interested, but too many other demands on my money, so I'll just have to put up with what I've got =)

Fred, I'm wondering if John Sharplin at Fairview Motors (Hamilton) would like to have another '32. He had one but got rid of it a couple of years ago. He'd be worried about those active struts though as he had a problem when he had his.

I just hope whoever is lucky enough to buy it is an enthusiast and doesn't just run it into the ground.

I'd definitely be interested if I had another $7000
Maybe if it sells slowly...
