This is stunning, Looks totally mint and the auction price! Last time it was on its was listed for 5-6k now 3.5k-4.5k? Surely theres not a problem with it... probably that old saying hmm 1991 its not worth much type of thing. People at turners tend to be after newer & cheaper cars from my observation.

Well its interesting, Ive been to many Turners auction to view cars, One of my friends got a nice Primera from Tuners with 75kms on the clock sporting the decent SR20DE motor - It's pretty mint over all and that got a C grade.
About 95% of the cars there did have C as a condition grade & they were all fine with under or around 100kms. I only saw one or two with a B or A grade but they were near new....
Hmm perhaps the A/C unit only needs re-gassing? Still you would have to check a number of things to verify the authenticity of the kms... however looking at the condition of the drivers seat & steering wheel they look pretty tidy. Again they may have been fixed so you never know....

Lol quite of topic. But still from what Ive heard over the years is that they can be kinda fast however look rather plastic-ish and are not that reliable - Ive heard TT 300ZXs are even more reliable!
I think Don mentioned he had one, don't think it was TT but still generally the same sorta thing so maybe he can answer some of your questions...

Rodger they are heavy as hell so the power you get stockers will like a driving a stock JZZ30 just about, potentially a tad slower.
They are also know for having having gearbox problems. I don't know if it's throughout the whole range the earlier models definitely got known for their G/B issues.
That said, I've always wanted one of those or a 300ZX. They'll still be a hell of allot of fun to play around with.

Well it maybe an age thing, as I get older I don`t need to go faster and they Sound and look interesting. I have a lad that wants to trade one for a R33 Skyline I have which has got me thinking but know nothing or heard anything about them.
Darryn, Should be home Sunday if thats any help. You should of came down today as there was free petrol on the side of the road.

One of the guys at my work had the 3 litre N/A model, 1991 - it was a total slug, but he treated it pretty badly service wise and ran '91 in it. Seemed reliable enough for him though, considering the hard life it had.

The 5 spd. TT GTO's have a weak cogbox. The 93 on TT's have a 6 spd. Getrag which are fine and hack the pace quite well.
They are a pleasant car to drive and not overly demanding on the driver, but are best suited to open road blasting, rather than around town type stuff.
They ARE heavy, but handle well with 4wd & 4ws.
Absolute BITCH to do a cam belt & water pump on, but other than that I enjoyed our one immensley....BUT I had a mint well looked after one to begin with.
I would STILL have our one if I hadn't been seduced by the Soarer.
My best advise is: Don't get a doggy one, as they'll be like a doggy 300ZX.........a friggin nightmare!
