well had my TT for a week now and the missus filled it up with 91 from GAS. car starting pinging when the gas got down to 1/4 tank or so.
Have since run it out of gas and filled up with BP ultimate but still pinging just after 1600rpm
any suggestions?

Reset the ECU mate, should be fine.
Disconnect the battery for 15mins or pull the EFI fuse.

platinum tips retain heat and actually increase the chance of ping!!! use steels or iridiums. gap to .8mm

ngk BKR 6 EIX for standard boost, BKR 7 EIX for bigger boost up to say 20 psi. Denso IK22 is same as "7 EIX".

My iridiums came gapped to .7mm and i left them at that. iridiums don't like regapping too much i was told.

Well, as it turns out it was just an exhaust rattle not pinging, new plugs in and trans flushed and new fluid filter and gasket fitted.
thanks for all advise, the ecu reset was a good idea too.
Watch this space. more mods and pics to come.
