That's about 40 mins drive south of me. Sounds like a total crap-box. About the only stuff worth getting off it would be the brakes & the diff IF it's a Torsen HeHe.
If any of ewe's TT type dudes want me to paddle off down there for a looksee & take pics of it, I might be able to go down there tomorrow, OR not, depending on the weather, and if I can be arsed

Hi again Don, to the man of all knowledge. I have ordered a cup holder, any idea how they fit into the slot or is it not that simple. Anyone else fitted one.

Rod,
You have to remove the whole trim piece and pop out the black backing from behind. Removing the trim piece involves six screws: two located beneath the cupholder, and four beneath the gear shift cover.
- The cup holder pops out by gripping the sidewall and pulling out. You'll see the two screws under it instantly.
- To get the shift cover out, you'll have to unscrew two screws located at the base of the shift stick. Pinch the base of the shift stick and force the plastic sleeve downwards. This exposes two screws. Remove the screws and the shift stick slides right off.
- The shift cover is held in by clips too and comes out by wedging your fingers under and pulling it out. The four screws beneath it are pretty obvious from then on. Remove them.
- The trim piece is held in by plastic clips. Wedge your fingers around it and pull the trim piece free. There are wire harnesses attached behind it, but you can leave them on. reach behind and push the black backing piece through. It should pop out. Slide the cup holder unit into the slot until it clicks into place.

Don, I thought I posted this query but cant find it on site. Anyway have ordered a cup holder. Does anyone or do you know how they fit into slot. Has anyone fitted one and if so how.?? I am a bit suspicious that it wont be that easy and no doubt the instructions will be in Japanese.

There is a much easier way. Pull forward the old cup holder, get a large screwdriver, press it against the plastic bracket which stops the cup holder coming out, and bang it to break the plastic. Pull out the remains. Shove the new cup holder in. Done.

Thanks guys, yepo found the post but the computerm seemed to miss out that page but after several tries found it. Will have to study all these suggestions about fitting the cup holder when it arrives from Japan. Dont know about the screwdriver and punching out the inside of the holder slot. Seems pretty drastic.?? Anyway off to Brisbane next Friday and will pick up a complete set of bushes from Andrew and have a squiz at his car. Perhaps he can demo the fitting of the cupholder.

Another little problem the right hand tems sport switch waont light up when the lights are turned on. I presume the little led has gone. Is that separate from the switch or does the whole switch has to be replaced. Also would like to change the colour of the light to blue or something instead of a dull white light. Can you get other colour led for the switches, if so will replace both left and right with same colour. Can anyone assist please.

Rod, if you have no cup holder at the moment and no broken pieces inside then see my post above. Putting the new one in really is a matter of just doing what comes naturally.
