I saw that, the thing is I reckon its the vanes inside, or scoring or the housing, not the seals.
Could be the bearing.

Hmmm might be an idea to buy a ready done - Reconditioned pump?

Brilliant, I picked up my new vehicle today - terrific deal and what a machine - certainly a lot more interesting than the old Soarer handling wise!

Thought I would get something a more interesting than usual. :-)

Is it the 540 Mike? I looked at a few BMW's but a V8 manual is impossible.

Workmate has a 260kw M5 6 cylinder manual, great car.

Yeah Matt, that is the one. :-)

Sure is an impressive car - needs a few small things done but over all I'am most pleased.

Cool Mike, that's probably the only bmw engine I'd have, the rest don't appeal to me.
So how much then?
Yup reconditioned pump might just be the way.

Never found the E34 to be a particularly fantastic car to drive......... Was there something wrong with your Soarers handling??

Ehh, interesting opinion

I and most others find they are just a superior car handling wise - far more dynamic than all my soarers were and the Celsior especially.

Only large BMW I've driven was a late 80's 525, which wallowed like a pig, I would guess it was in need of some TLC in the suspension and bush areas, as at the time it was some 13 or 14 years old and very high k's. It was a very comfortable, well built car though.

An ex of mine had a mid '90's 325 which handled very well, but the ride was unforgivably terrible, far too harsh for a 4 seater coupe. Build quality was also apauling but thats typical of small BMW's of the era.

I've driven a few early 90's 318's which again tend to handle quite well but with a very unforgiving ride, though it was hard to get them moving fast enough to actually find out how well they handled.
