Hi every one, My name is James but my mates call me Jimbo. I brought a 1991 UZZ31 gold/champagne Soarer back in late May, early June last year. I have always used this site as a reference for any problems or handy tips. I would normally be spotted driving around Auckland espically the Mt Albert area. I have a younger brother who owns a 1992 UZZ30 dark green soarer who is an apprentice mechanic so he's always helpfull to have around. Any way about my pride and joy, I have put some silver 17" TOM's racing wheels on it, the old open diff decided it had enough so there's now a Torsen LSD sitting in there and for my christmas present from my brother (good bugger), I got a 2.25" cat back exhaust with two Audi RS6 mufflers. It's the same exhaust that a current member on here had on his soarer, and in my opnion it surpasses any other aftermarket exhaust so it's Mike's loss and my gain. I will try and upload a picture of my pride and joy so that if any one recognisies me they should give me a wave or a toot. I am always keen to stop and have a bit of a chin wag so dont be afraid to drop a line. I would like to say thank you to the creators of this site and to any one who has/will provide me with any information in reguards to mine and my brother's cars. I look forward to meeting some of you and your cars and as I said before dont be scared to drop a line. Cheers

I thought I might post in here too.
Hey all I have been a member with a few Posts here and there.
My Soarer is a UZZ31 - it has 19" alloys and some exhaust mod (not sure but is sounds very nice and is loudish). Also after market suspension controlls can drop it very low
Hope the Picture upload works will try to get better ones latter

Pretty much exactly what Matt just said except in the wet you have to be very carefull if you arent used to driving like that just make sure you have heaps of tread or you slide every where. As for speed I minus 10% off my speed to find out my true speed, so if it says im doing 55kph then im only doing 50kph and 110 then its only 100. Still I dont think I could ever have another open diff again seeing as my brothers soarer is a single blazer, it is completley different.
