Just pulled apart, brushes are clean and quite long, both were contacting the rotor shaft. Think its the rectifier, but can't be sure. Who has these things in stock?(The rectifier/regulator) And is the regulator part of the rectifier unit?

Just did a continuity check, and it is definitely open circuit, bloody weird. Anyone know how to get the damn pulley nut off? It's like it's been welded on there, I've tried everything i can think of, the old two spanners isn't working...

Thanks Daniel and Matt, I popped her open finally and found a wire that looked like it had been broken off from a solder joint. 5mins with the soldering iron and all sorted
Shame I already bought a new alternator... for $510... anyone want it? lol...
