I'm not into this, but I'll sign it for people that are- and there's loads of them. Be a shame to see it go.
Neither, I don't like it but its the arrogance of the people that moved to the area, knowing its there, then complain about the noise, hence why it annoys me.
Hope the track gets its way.

It seems to me that these residents bring these complaints up every couple of years, I think their plan is to chip away at the speedway club over a number of years and back them into a corner. I wonder how many residents have actually complained.
I remember going to the last speedway meeting at Bay Park, in the mid 90's. Haven't been to Te Marua for a while.

It's bullshit. It happens in OZ all the time. Racetracks, speedways, airports. All of which were there long before the residents making the complaints.
Archerfield speedway in Brisbane is currently undergoing a similar thing, it' been there for many years (near 100, I believe), 2 years ago someone with a get rich quick scheme decided to build a geriatrics home just behind the speedway on the cheap land that was available.
Now, of course, the speedway noise is too much for the geriatrics who live there and there is pressure to close the speedway.
I've signed as well. This crap is happening more and more, and we all need to band together to stop it.

another good example is the paraparumu airport in kapiti, which was built in 1939 and is hated by the locals because of the extensive helicopter traffic that takes place due to the flight training school there.
