Yeah same, looked on youtube last night to get some in car videos of the track, the way they run the event is great, 5 seconds apart on start off with the fastest cars first, and no overtaking under braking.
Aim to get there about 9.15-9.30am Mark, you may be waiting around a bit if you get there at 8.30am.

To be honest Mark if you get some mintex front race pads and if you want to buy my rear pads that I had made that are mintex you would stand a good chance against Warren. One thing I have found about Hampton is that you need good brakes with a bit of acceleration and you will have a good set up provided you also have a decent suspension set up. I would love to come but I have to work as I could give you guys some pointers as to braking points and turning points, perhaps in the not to distant future I will be able to join you guys at another track day.
FYI 1.25 is my best time at that track so kudos to any one that beats it.

Brake pads have been on my mind for the last few weeks but I haven't been able to find the time to put new ones on. I think i will be ok on the day but i should have probably put new pads on all round a month or so ago, ideally.

Mark the front pads are such a breeze to change, and I am sure for a maximum of $400 you can have a front set of pads and for $150 you can have my rear pads that are Mintex compound, I honestly swear by them for track work as your road pads will not handle the temp's that are reached for racing.
Up to you but if you want to catch Warren then those pads will help heaps.

Mark - These are race pads, you don't need time to wear them in, you just put them in race on them then put your road pads back in when you are finished but they are safe enough to drive to and from home in just the cost of them you don't want to drive around on them day to day. If you are talking about bedding them in that is easy, all you need to do is put them in then late at night go down the motorway doing some stops here and there and you are done.

Weather was on and off, so we had a good mix of wet and dry track. A whole lot more than 60 cars on show I reckon, unfortunately only the two Soarers. I haven't got any good footage except the brief clip below unfortunately as I didn't have time to make an in-car mounting bracket for the camera. My usual mount couldn't be used as I had removed the passenger seat.

I agree but the audio is crap on this vid, I can't hear the car at all. Was excellent fun though, I was laughing maniacally when chasing a '62 Ford Galaxy (rego:GALXCE) as I thought it was such an unlikely car to see on a track - until it floored the accelerator : O

Mark, I will keep you posted with the track day's I do and flick you a email as when I race it is all spaced out but of course there are ferrari's and all sort's of exotics that catch up to you but they are good fun days much like what you just experienced and Warren if you want I can keep you in the loop too.

Hey Mark, yeah had a great time, but James was right about having decent/race brakes for this track, they would have made a world of difference, keep an eye on youtube, Im sure someone will have some half decent footage.

Thanks Mike I didn't necessarily mean in that video (although looking at the post now I can see how you might make that presumption). I love the sound of my V8 in cabin at full throttle it sounds awesome in my opinion.
