Shyam did you buy that TT of Trade me towards the end of 2004 or start of 2005. It looks very familiar, especially those wheels. I think it was $9500 or so? Am i correct?
You're right. I did it get it at the start of the year. Going good
The bloke I bought it was Neill (I think) and he worked at Continental Cars in Newmarket. He was getting a Peugeot 407 or something so he flicked this off. It was a beaut and am lovin it
By the way, if anyone noticed, I'm missing the centre cap of my wheel in the picture above. Can anyone help as I've tried mag warehouse, arrow wheels and a few otehrs and it seems my centre cap is too big or something and to get them custom made aint worth it.
Peter, did you get the wheel sfrom here or Japan, as they are extremely rare here

I got the wheels here second hand. They used to be on a Skyline. $1800 with tyres, were mint. unfortunetly my girlfriend has been grinding them on the kerb a bit.

Did anyone see the young TT driver on TV last night (Street Patrol I think the show was called) who got his car impounded, some huge fines, and lost his licence for 8 months?
It was a very clapped out mess of a early model JZZ30, interior rooted, dodgy wiring all over the place, loads of chips, missing clear coat, ricer tail lights, awful rims. I've seen the car around a few times here hin Hamilton, but not recently (now I know why!) Always made me want to cry when I saw it go past.
Dickhead did a burn out right opposite a cop on Te-Rapa straight, then booted it to over 150 (in a 60 zone!) and switched off his lights to try and get away, then changed his mind and pulled over. Third time he had lost his licence!
I wonder what happened to the car, given that it was confiscated and he was ruled not able to own a car during his licence suspension? Crushed perhaps? It would be a mercy kill in my opinion.

Ridiculous.
It sadness me what has and is happening to the old Soarers.
Its all these kids 16-19 especially that have NO idea what they are doing half the time and do unneeded modifications to a poor standard yet think it's awesome.
They have no concept of maintenance or what car care is, its all about doing skids and showing off their clapped out dying cars on the streets.
Next door there is some drop kick kid with the most terrible Nissan 180sx, with some panels in red and some in lime green, yesterday I saw he had a stupid carbon fiber vented bonnet standing up next to the garage.
Of course it also sounds like a farm yard tractor, but that is cool, along with the stupid cambered over sized wheels.

I can thankfully say that not all young males treat their cars this way, mine has had a thorough maintenance check with Mobil 1 engine oil, all the filters done, I have just bought a driver's side door panel as well.
on the other hand, there is a subaru hatchback driving around upper hutt with lime green bonnet and wipers, it looks like he has rear ended a painters van

Yup, road cop's was what it was called. The guy is a absolute idiot and I cringed when I saw it was a soarer he was in.

Missed the show, maybe I can find it online
Go to TV3 on demand and search road cops.

Does it have tri-spoke wheels? If it's the one I think it is he works in penrose some where as I have seen him several times drive down Great South Road. I always cringe at the sight of it and I must admit I like the 180sx but that is a disgrace.

The few Boy Racers in my area (Forest Lake) actually have pretty decent cars. There is a nice 180sx around the corner, very tidy, kept very clean, only ruined by a gigantic silly NISMO sticker and an oversized exhaust (which is fortunately well tuned and not too loud) and a Mazda Familiar Hatch which has henous wheels, but otherwise is very tidy and looks to be pretty quick. The problem with the Mazda is the chick who owns it keeps draining her coolant into the gutter! Not cool.
That blue Soarer wins the award for Bogun Soarer of the week I think! Definitely due for a mercy crushing.

She was probably the registered owner for insurance. no way will I let my boys do things like that to their cars when they are teens - it'll be a tidy, well maintained car, or no car at all, same as I was taught by my dad!

funny, the reason I look after my cars so well is that my father does the same. oil changes every 5,000 km, no eating in the car, if it needs doing it gets done, you get the picture.
