Ah, the LS400 doesn't do any better in that area unfortunately, particularly if its on bags.
For the driving I do the Soarer's steering and handling is very good, particularly after replacing all the shocks and fitting the Toyo tires.
Having owned cars with "razor sharp" steering response, I know how tiring it can be on long trips, which is pretty much all I ever do in the Soarer these days.

The soarer worked on long trips, I give it that but in the city like Auckland I slowly found they aren't really that well suited.
At least with the LS400, it's supposed to be a luxo barge like a boring Mercedes so it's justified it doesn't handle well.... the soarer is a bit pretentious if its considered a 'sports coupe' it's just a soft Grand tourer at best.
Thinking back to my 1990 Celsior on air suspension, it was almost comical how they handled... but did they have a smooth ride or what!
I'd be sure to buy a Celsior again, just a pity most of the old ones have 200-300k's now.
