Well, I ended up getting the one I linked to. Pretty happy with the decision, feels safe to buy from a dealer with all the legit documentation etc.
I pick it up next weekend. The car is completely stock with 50,000kms, sunroof, factory sub, and TEMS. However, the dealer put very ugly and HUGE 19" wheels on it, and I feel like the car was slightly slower and braked worse with the 19"s, can anyone expand on that? i asked for the stock wheels but he had already sold them off.

Congrats!
Stupid dealer! Should be easy enough to source a set of Toyota or Lexus rims similar to what you had on your old car though, then you could flick the 19's for a tidy profit.

That's the plan. Any insight as to whether you think 19" wheels could affect acceleration and braking? The front wheels rub the guards a bit, so I'm assuming the rolling diameter is greater than stock, let alone the weight..

Depends on the 19s. If its 19in chrome wheels then they probably weigh like 15kg each or something lol! Some monoblock rays on the other hand will weigh less than stock wheels even in 19s. 19s tyres will also be heavier so the car will feel a bit numb...

They are probably cheaply made rims, so no doubt weigh a pile.
More critically, they may not be mounting properly on the hub centre, which is dangerous - normally they drill the centres out to something like 72mm, but the Soarer hub centre is 60mm, so the wheel ends up only being held on by the studs (which is not how it is supposed to be). You can fit hub rings to get the correct diameter, but most of the time you find that nobody bothers.

I posted this in another thread, but after owning the car for about 2 weeks I have to say I absolutely love it. The wheels are ugly and too heavy, but apart from that it's an amazing, smooth, powerful ride with the extras that I wanted (sunroof, sub).
All in all, I couldn't really be much happier with the purchase, and I don't think i'll ever set foot in a V8 again.

Yeah I know what you mean.
I always thought I'd never buy a TT, as the Luxo Barge V8 with all the bells and whistles was totally what I was looking for. How wrong I was. I like both Soarers for what they are.
