This is my new wagon, 93 Toyota MarkII Grande (jzx91), now running 1jz-ge and w55. Not sure what I'm going to do with it, will probably fit a GTE engine soon, but also looking at 1uz option.
And don't panic, I'll be changing the rims and pruning about 7 inches out of the rideheight asap!
Being an original 2j car, it has the same big brakes and diff as the turbo Chaser. I've also upgraded to a Torsen with 3.9 gears, so the driveline's all ready to take some turbo goodness, or just bulletproof reliability if I stay NA.

Very stealth, can park it anywhere, gets waved through checkpoints....

Being the Grande model, it has the nice (still cloth though...) interior, similar digital dash to Soarer, woodgrain etc etc.

Bloody nice car! Looks like a 4door Soarer.
I like very much.
I wonder if the front panels would fit the Soarer?
They look very similar.

Does anyone look like bringing these into Australia? I think better looking than the Chaser.

Very nice, Thads. Pity we didn't get these in Australia in any numbers. 1000% better than the Falcadore rubbish we were lumbered with.

Square saloons don't do it for me I'm afraid, but sounds like it'd be a fun car to drive, and definitely won't attract any unwanted attention, from cops or crims. Probably pretty practical too...

Cheers, glad you guys reckon it looks alright.

Yes, it does have a parking sonar at each corner of the car and a little panel on the dash (under the clock) which bleeps and shows which corner you're about to prang! Its factory, so is quite neat, and seems to work ok.
I still have my Soarer, and havn't decided what I'm going to do yet, but will need to look at selling one or the other...

Yeah I like the MarkII and Cresta versions of the JZX90 car better than the Chaser version- the tail lights make the car look wider and lower than on the Chaser.
Reminds me of an morning in Tokyo stumbling out of the pub only to be woken by the sweet sweet sound of a Cresta Tourer V doing some circle work on a busy intersection (Very dangerous....but still kinda cool)

See this thread:
http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/messages/285/82667.html?1153315264

The Aristo is much more like a 4 door Soarer, where the Mark II was more like a RWD Corona with lots of goodies (not at all a bad car, just different style)

Rodger, hope that locknut key got to you alright, I'm just glad that I realised it before you needed it! (had the makings of a good quality fck up!)

Ive got myself a nice 4 door cruiser, my other cars have both gone to good homes, so it looks like its all well that ends well!

Aristo - good choice. I'd get a twin turbo one if i could afford it. i think Bags mentioned a 4wd "4s" version or something but i've not been looking at the ads lately.

Shyam, No not I as I live in Hawke`s Bay and the Soarer is at the panel beaters getting the chassis straightened so I can align the bumper, bonnet and guards.
