Well now that I have my Soarer I need to get a key for the wife and a spare or two for when she locks hers in it. So where in Edmonton do I get keys cut for the Soarer? I don't believe I can go to Walmart for a key like this.

So I just went to western lock and key, and it's a no go on the key style. They call it a 'sidewinder'. Sounds like a missile to me. But hey what do they know, or the sideways hat wearing kid that I spoke to. According to him the 1995 Acura Legend is the fastest car EVAR!!!

$10 is cheap!!
I got mine done for $35!!
Wow!! That is cheap!! I locked my keys in my boot during Mardi Gras in 1999 and had to get one shipped from New york for $300 USD!! It must be the computer chip in them! They grilled me on all my personal info, just to make sure it was me and NOT a thief trying to break in. I had the key shipped to Baton Rouge, at a local Lexus dealer, then had to drive back to New Orleans, with a key that had no guarantees it would even work, while my car was in a $50.00 a day parking!! It took 4 days to arrive, so my new key ended up being $500 USD!

Funny story there, Dale!! I called Triple A and had a guy there in 1 hour with a ...., uh-hem, well lets say he opened my passenger door with no problems. The funny part is that our Lexus' here in the US has such a great security system, sometimes too good lol, that when my dome light came on it locked my boot, bonnet, doors, and setted my ignition immobilizer, leaving me with a blairing horn, flashing lights, and tons of ticked off people b/c it wouldn't turn off until eventually the battery died, 5 hours later. Those remote buttons locked up on me and YES I did have my doors opened, BUT w/o the factory key, so everything locked up. I eventually had to wait for the key to arrive from NYC, b/c Lexus here in N.O. was closed for the holidays!! When it finally arrived I drove straight there and opened my boot, and VOILA, my keys sat right next to my CD stacker. I then just inserted my true key in the ignition and it started w/ no problems. I thought the battery was dead b/c the alarm eventually turned itself off, but it went into hibernation mode!! I was very impressed w/ the alarm.....but man, that really SUCKED!! LOL

AAHHH!! I just remembered!! I was so buzzed at the time so I gave the keys to the gf to put them in her purse....then before we went walking to the French Quarter, she put her purse in the trunk so it woudnt get stolen!!! We didn't even realize we didn't have them until 12 hours later getting ready to drive home!! We laugh at it now...BUT it still sucked!! LOL
