Hey guys. I'm seriously considering importing a Toyota Soarer 2.5 TT to Vancouver, Canada. Now what are the complications of actually using a Soarer here. I already checked with ICBC and insurance is cheap, so thumbs up there. What modifications are required to make it aircare passable? What about availibility of parts? Are the parts identical to a SC400. I know the engine is different, for for everything else how difficult is it to get parts in Canada from Toyota or Lexus? Oh and how bad is it on snow? haha. My Nissan Altima is a joke on snow considering it's FWD, to the point I'm scared to drive it so I guess it can't be worse ;)

There's snow in Vancouver? Jk. I don't drive mine in the winter but a few members do with little to worry about. Just make sure you winterize it w/ the right tires and fluids and you shouldn't have a problem. Parts aren't a huge issue you just need to do you research before attempting repairs. Get the right Soarer and you should be alright!

Go for it, but if you have trouble with a FWD in snow, I don't think you'll like RWD lol.

for the mechanical part you must buy australian/ japanese Toyota dealer. I buy with Castle Hill dealer, many other can ship australia to here(Canada).

for the Winter, I ran this winter and i don't have problem with traction.. I bought Toyo G-02 winter tire.. after winter... no rubber at rear tire! huh!!!! ok ok I did burnout my tires but i have OEM camber... and this winter in Quebec we had a BIG winter with too much snow..
