| ok as most mite be aware i got a HID lights in my car about a year and a bit ago.ive used them extensively and i am happy with quality for price paid.i have been in contact with the supplier and have secured i believe a good price per kit. bulbs that are available are as follows, 4300K, 6000K, 8000K or 10000K now if we can get 5 confirmed and paid orders price will be $ 285 delivered. If we can sign up 10 buyers then the price delivered will be $265 warranty is from manufacturer .so anyone interested please put down your name and if you are definetley interested. i have no interest or stake in above said company i just emailed him regarding some different temp bulbs and the subject came up from there. thx Muz |

4300k factory lexus HID colour, 6000K is a little whiter then 4300K, 8000K a little blue, i would only got for these 3 colour as 10000K is for showroom only |

| 4300K has the greatest light penetration although not a lot better than 6000K. Higher numbers are more blue (through to purple) and offer less and less penetration at the cost of greater eye strain for you and for other drivers. I consider 6000K as far as you can go for a little bling with your bright but 4300K is the driver's light. IMO |

Not in our car, which takes 9005J. 9005 require trimming and/or grinding of the tabs. One of the things which puts me off HID- I have no desire to chop and grind expensive globes which might disintegrate in my hands |

| They need a little bit of trimming, its not difficult to do. I had to do it on my one, takes a few seconds and can barely even tell its been trimmed. Can also be faults with the headlights. My original headlights were very hard to fit the HID's I got, however the new headlights I brought recently, they fit absolutely perfectly. My ones are still working awesomely after 1 year. I brought them off ebay for $330 delivered so they are a bargain now. |

i just want to correct that, our car takes 9006J, if the kit is 9006 then it needs trimming, but the 9005 are highbeam which will pop in without any problem. dont think there is such thing as 9005J. |

| Our car takes 9005J, and most certainly not 9006 or 9005. The 9005 require modification, 9006 won't fit in at all and can't be modified without a lot of stuffing around- the centre piece is larger diameter than the hole. This has been covered many times before. The 9006 were fitted to some complied cars, not all, and ours is stock standard out of Japan. The high beams are the same. I currently have modified lights (9005) in all four slots, not without some mucking around. |

I thought there was a problem with HIDs in high beam? Because you have to keep flicking them off when cars approach, unlike low beams which remain on all the time? |

| This has been discussed comprehensively in another thread, Mike. My view, which I consider sustained on both theory provided in that thread and by practical experience, is that A. it is not a problem; and B. Assume HIDs are a consumable part with a 2-year life. How does that cost compare with other safety or performance costs on your car? |

sounds like alot of work, but with the right bracket it will make things alot easier and once done you will end up with a clear light cutoff line. but getting the projector from bmw and audi could be costly, they go from $100-$245 a pair |

| I installed my lights in my Soarer tonight. Easy to do, but it cost me a 6 pack of Corona. (Could have done it myself, should have looked before promising, oh well!) The lights aren't brilliant at the moment, they need to be removed and polished inside and out before it looks how it should. This should all happen this weekend so there should be good pics up by then. Thanks again to Muz, as mentioned above, this is how a group buy should be done. I would highly recommend dealing with Muz in any future group buys (if he finds another steal!) as the quick delivery and the quality of the goods was brilliant. |

| Thanks for the comments Chris, I never knew how involved a group buy would be... the worse part is hoping all is well with the product as the last thing i would want is for people to not be happy with them. like i said at the start of the group buy I only reccomended because i personally have used them and they worked faultless for over a year. I originally used to hate HID lights but a night time trip to Melbourne with the crap standard lights changed all that. apart from the bling factor they are actually a useful modification.. |
