I am now starting group buy #2 for these custom interiors. Group Buy #1 was extremely successful and we had a lot of happy members. There are now more soarer getting around with beautiful custom interiors. I thought I would give a chance to those that missed out last time.

these are for DIY installation. Its not that hard...everyone in the last group buy managed.
A couple of people that didnt have time just took them to a professional trimmer to fit. |

I know they are for DIY installation.. but what is the method of attachment? are there tabs or strings attached to the material so you can tighten it over the seats etc? |

You take the plastic/vinyl (hard) whatever cover panel off the back of your seats.
Then you slip the cover over the seat, it only covers the front and sides....but has a big gap at the back so you can still see into the back of your seat. Then there are white strings on the back of the cover. They are lined up to match the stitching on your seat....then you sew the white string through the standard stitching at various points...and pull them tight and tie them together at the back. This pulls the covers into the standard stitching lines, giving it the look of being a proper re-trim. (as a matter of fact, it pretty much is a full re-trim). Then you just put the cover back on...and it looks perfect.
Same process with the back seats except they dont have any cover on the back.
BTW, you get a set of fitting instructions with your covers... |

Guys give christian a break. He is not obligated to do this group buy. He has gotten his seat covers a long time ago in the first portion of the first group buy.
I got mine from this as well and i can say that i am one happy chappy.
Here are some photos of mine before they were worn in. Note that they look 10x better now.

Hey, ease up mate, all i asked was if there were strings attached to the underside of the cover..
you make it sound asif i was asking 100 different kinds of retarded questions..
I appreciate all the effort christian has gone through for these covers, and i understand he is doing it with no obligation..
Once i decide on a pattern, i will send through my order and get the payment sorted.
ONE last question. I did READ the 15 other pages last night.
The only mention of the actual material was someone saying it isnt leather, and it isn't vinyl..so what is it exactly? Obviously something synthetic if it isn't real leather? |

Lots of people commonly refer to these covers as "pleather"
Not sure where the P comes from, but obviously not 100% genuine leather.. as you can tell by the price. Sure as hell feels nice though! |

Pleather = Plastic leather. Same sort of thing as Frolex = Fake Rolex. The E-Bay seller originally called them leather seat covers, I bought a set and there was no sign of cow at all and I told him so. However, I bought and installed a SECOND set when I got my Supra front seats so I am clearly happy. I think if they were leather one would probably have to remove the fabric trim before fitting them, whereas the vinyl stretches a bit and fits tightly OVER the fabric, thus DIY is quite easy. |

Sad story: I won the Auction, and asked for delivery to the Marriott in Falls Church (near Washington) where I was supposed to be on the 8th of feb. My US boss then postpones the meeting until April.....

Kelly, the package price of $650 includes any of the extras you want. So the wrinkle/pleated finish will be no extra cost.

This group buy has no minimum, its just a chance for a few more guys to upgrade their interiors, because I got like 30 emails asking if they could still get some....lol....typical though of people to ask who are not really serious. Oh well, its made a few more guys happy.

Guys, get in on this deal while you can.
I did, and the interior of my UZZ31 looks so much more brighter now! I went with the closest possible match to the factory spruce, and you can barely tell the difference (except for the fact that it looks brand new)
The fit wasn't 100%, but that could be due to my elite fitting skillz0rs~ |

My fit was 98%....but also...I took a lot of shortcuts installing, and I know that these are 100% perfect when done properly.
I didnt bother with the whole "Leather/Semi-Leather/Leatherette" crap....cause I assumed everyone knew what they were by now. I dont care if there are no extra customers...it was just for the guys that were interested last time and missed out due to funds shortage or they couldnt make up their mind about colours ect.
Anyway....i've made at least another 4-5 people happy by having round 2 of the group buy, so thats good enough for me. |

hi Christian, firstly i want to say thank you for everything you have done for us!
After read through all 15 pages old thread, two things i am not clear. (probably because of my poor understanding :/ )
the 1st thing is i am not sure which kind of the rear headrest my soarer is(my model is 93 V8 GT).....om, just know i can pull it forward to passengers (correct description?)
the 2nd is i should: A) let you confirm my order details first then transfer money to the seller. or B)transfer the money to the seller first then organize my order detail later.
(yea, maybe i am now doing B already!)

After the mad rush of people on friday, I think we ended up with about 10 on this group buy...bringing the grand total to about 35-36 people all up.
Not too bad. There are about 24 soarers with sexier interiors now (considering we had some other cars in the group buys)
Anyway....thanks everyone. I hope that now everyone has had a chance to get in on this if they wanted. Its been hard work, but I know i've made a lot of people happy.

Aww not fair, I ordered mine on the 11/12th of Feb, and Galo posted his order on the 22nd of Feb and I am still waiting...it's been 7 weeks. I am really not happy. That's 10 days difference. I hope mine show up tomorrow or I will be very unhappy! I thought it would be first in best dressed.  |
