Hey guys ive had another group buy in the works (well my head anyway) for a while. Now that the large floor mat group buy is winding down ill get this one going. Ive learnt a lot from my first ever large group buy so this one should go a lot faster.
Anyway just for now i'd like an expression if interest, put your name down if your keen on getting involved.
So the price is $100 sent to your address (so $100 for the kit with postage included) if we get 40 people together. I think this is a great price and have haggled them down over the last month. Warranty is 14 months so you’re covered for a while and thus you have peace of mind. I think with that price it will attract a lot of people and fill up much faster than the large floor mat group buy. So post up your name if you would be keen on getting a quality product at a very affordable price.

No brand will be one these as ive been talking to a manufacturer who makes them for many different companies and they just rebrand them to whatever their client wants. They even asked me if i wanted to put a brand name on it (hmmm anyone want Soarercentral??? haha).
Globe type will be whatever you want so can be for any car really, the daily, Soarer, parent car etc/
Yeah ive been negotiating for ages with these guy well before the other thread popped up. Make no distinction this buy if pretty much aimed at anyone wanting to grab a bargain or is on a budget. Will also be getting prices of 55w and hi/lo so you can have whatever specs you want aswell as any temp colour, eg 4300K, 6000K, 7000K, 8000K etc.
They normally sell them for $185 plus postage. But because i got in touch with the place they make it we get a big discount for volume and for bypassing the American wholesaler that takes big orders. And like it has been said in many thread on here and other car forums most of these kits are made in the same factories and rebranded, the only difference is what profit the companies make off their customers. I was originally gonna get some Bosch HID's but it end coming to a very big amount which i couldnt justify.

If you want something like daylight then 4300K would suit you well. As for the globes from the research ive done Soarers need 9005J but you wont find anyone that stocks these so 9005 are needed and then you cut off these plastic tabs to make them fit nicely.

hi David i may be interested in a set of these but am a bit weary could you please link me to the makers site so i could make up my mind and are these the 55w or 35w versions many thanx Matt ps. i don't mean to offend of seem ungrateful but u know the saying, if something sounds to good to be true it normally is.
I think there is a thread on the supra forum about these HID's with many people plesantly suprized and also you can read the buyer feedback. The price is cheaper than the HID ebay link as they are shipped once rather than from China-> USA -> Australia plus their is no middle man making a profit just for selling them on. Im sure some people will think they are nasty just because of the cheap price but we are gonna be cutting out a lot of people who make profit without them actually doing anything and thats were the saving is.

Yeah i dont know if i trust that though, i mean how can a product be quality with the cost of materials, labour and profit on top and still all come in under $40? My biggest concern with something list those HID's is that the colour temps will be really out of wack eg 4300K will be quite blue or 6300K will be really really blue etc and also the start up time in which the headlights are at operational standard.
Im not really worried if people would like to go that option thats fine. Again this is another group buy where i wont be making money off and i just like getting nice things for my car aswell as passing on savings to others.

Other than the price what can you say is different to the ones that you have quoted. HID kits have been that cheap for ages just not a lot of people knew where to source them.

Im just saying if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. I really cant see how for $40 you get a quality product with everything include: the actual product, materials, machinery need to make the product, labour and profit. I'd just be weary with a kit like that as i can see the potential of the cost blowing out greater than $70 if it keeps breaking and you have to pay shipping each time thats all.

I have been dealing with quite a lot of companies in China over the last 8 years & they all claim to be the manufacturers of whatever item it is that they are promoting, majority of the time it is just BS and they are just distributers for the manufacturers. Chances are the quality of both of the items (Ebay ones & the ones you have found) are very comparable or identical. If you are looking for quality then you need to go for a well known brand and pay the big dollars as well. That being said the Ebay ones come with a one year warranty on ballasts & Bulbs and are $30.00 per set cheaper, they have sold over 4500 items with over 98% feedback you could probably get a set for the high beams at the same time for the same sort of money.

David, i believe most HIDs are from the same or few factories. because i have ordered different type bulbs separately, and they fit different ballast without a doubt! only difference is the sticker. for that cheap ebay one,i am 120% satisfied. i strongly believe that 195USD one is identical to my 70-75AUD one
so David, dont be fooled, higher price =/= better quality. most of the money goes into seller's pocket.

Unfortunately the groupbuy didnt go ahead and i can remember the factories contact details. I ended up going with a 55w 6000K HID kit which was $525 but looks on ebay and just get the cheapest kit. They are pretty much all the same these days and the difference in prices are just the more someone is making profit at your expense.

Fran, contact Damian Ware. I just purchased a set of 55W HIDs from him and they are absolutely brilliant. I'll post up some before and after pictures when I can.

Fran i seriously would recommend these http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=386149 for how cheap they are plus slim ballast make life so much easier to mount them. They are 35w and for $119 with a 12 month warranty if anything happens to them not to work after the warranty is expired its a cheap replacement. Only reason i paid so much for mine is mine were order from Germany and were 55w. For the money i paid ($500+) i didnt even get a slim ballast! But seriously even the cheapies hardly stuff up so just get choose the following.
Do you want 35w or 55w (about 30%brighter) Do you want a slim ballast or normal ballast which is just bigger.
Once you choose what you want just find the cheapest kit with a good reputation off ebay or the kit that i posted which is on nissansilvia.com
