Hey Dave, I just got a new (2nd hand) set of seat belts that are a different colour, is it too late to change the colour of my order to grafite(sic)? (if we are still going off the colour swatch at http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v510/BlastedbyaSoarer/swatch2.jpg). Sorry if this is a pain in the butt .

Anyone wanting to jump onboard this group buy whilst the mats are still been made (probably 2 week max) you still can. I've had 2 people that have done this. However once the last set is made up thats it, im calling curtain. This wont delay anyone elses mats and allows anyone who hasnt seen the groupbuy or is late the maximum amount of time to get invovled. So really im doing the late commers a favour.
However for these people there will be an optional $10 charge which you can either nominate for me to give to a charity or nominate to me for my time organising everything. Up to you if you want to pay the extra $10 and who you want to give it to. Just thought it would only be right seeing as others have waited for a very long time for their mats and getting in on the group buy gets you a set of floor mats which normally cost approx $250. But again its up to the individual if they want to do this to those that get involved in the next few weeks.
Matthew- yeah mate i reckon this is a record for the largest group buy, anyone want to confirm? Currently at 44 orders

Ok guys im pulling the plug on this one, NO MORE PEOPLE WILL BE PERMITTED FOR THIS BUY. I no longer can keep adding people as the manufacturer has made provision for the current order and thats it. Plus i have been overwhelmed with this guy and now really want to wind it up and get people there mats so i can study my arse off and finish my degree. Thanks again guys for coming together as a group to get a great product at the very best price, officially 48 people are getting mats which is HUGE. Once again great effort guys.

Seems the manufacturer has made a mistake and cant actually get a Lexus Logo embedded into the heelpad. So what i want to do is have just the Lexus logo in the same position as the heelpad but without an actual heelpad. Anyone object to this? Only really concerns a few people.

Ok there are a few problems with the order. Im waiting to hear back from the manufacturer and then ill be rectifying them ASAP. They are pretty much to do with people giving too little info like order 8 for example and they dont know what they should do. Then there is the heelpad problem but ill sort that out when they email me back with a list of all the problems that need fixing.

Ok everyone hang on a sec. Still waiting on the factory to advise me on ALL problems with the orders. Then ill be sending out a heap of emails to people i need extra info from or notify them of some changes and what they want to do.
Yes it is a bit of a headache as a lot of people didnt bother to read posts and just did what they wanted to do and then were sending emails to my private email rather than the groupbuy one which got fustrating. Problem was that i have people too much freedom and some individuals kept changing their orders etc.
Anyway problem should be resolved quite quick when i hear back from the factory tomorrow. If not then ill fix it myself. Shouldnt be much of a delay at all just extra hours of work for me.

Peter Nitschke- Hey Peter can you increase my limit of PM's to a lot more than 5 per hour? I have a heap of people to contact to clarify their orders and would make life so much easier and quicker if i could send 50 PMs in the space of an hour just for this group buy. Let me know what you can do mate. Cheers

They are going alright, taking a bit longer than expected with the fiasco of many orders not been complete. For example people wrote stuff like heelpad + grey but didnt say anything about the Soarer writing etc so there were many emails sent out and it should be all sorted by now. So yeah schedule has been pushed back a little but should be going full steam ahead as of now.

How long were you expecting? Its nearly 6 months now. I think you hold the record for the longest group buy in History. Group buys can get very messy very easily and I give you credit for hanging in there. If your doing it in the future just do 10 or 15 at a time and keep the options to a minimum and make sure you make a few dollars for your time. Good effort.

Yeah its been going for 6 months, there were no expectations on that as its the way it goes. Im referring to the time from when all the money was received and the order placed. Was suppose to be around this time that they were to be all finish and be ready to be all shipped to SA. However after the order was given (as all the money was collected) the factory and myself were not happy to proceed as there were roughly 15-20 people who had not specified one or more aspects of their order or had ordered more options than they had paid for. It came to the point where i was going to give them the green light to go ahead with making the lot on the assumption that if the order didnt specify what type of heelpad and whether the 'Soarer' word was meant to be put on that they should just put the writting on and a toyota heelpad. Then i thought that if i did this there was a chance of having a bunched of pissed of people through no fault of my own but rather their so i had to email every single affected person via PM and wait for word from them.
What it pretty much boils down to is peoples inability to read instructions and do as they please. I knew that this could be messy from the get go and thats why i made specific procedures of how people should do thing, even made a standalone email so nothing was missed when people tried to contact me, send address and such. But instead even after in the initial post of this thread and the previous thread telling people in the first sentence to read the whole post it was evident that this wanst happening. What came of that is emails been sent to my email rather than the groupbuy email and as ive said previously i get a lot of junk mails so emails a few days old get put 3 pages back where i cant see them. Also a large number of emails just got delivered to my junk folder for whatever reason and i had to keep checking that to make sure nothing was missed.
Agreed next time it will be a smaller number to make it easier and quicker. Large numbers could easily work if people read everything that they were asked to but yeah there will always people who will skim through.
Anyway all is done, the factory is making the mats as we speak (aparrently they are a bit flat out at the moment but they have a quite patch coming up where they should hopefully get them all finished). And still after ever attempt to make communication to rectify one users order through their fault of not reading the details carefully there is one person left without a confirmed order. Fingers crossed he replies very soon.
So the end is near and everone will receive their mats shortly :-) woot

Where can Perth people pick them up from? I've asked a few times for company name and address. Might try to pop by next week to have a chat to the guy about the mats and get a sneak peek.
Good to see progress!! Thanks a lot Dave!! Really mean it.

Ill be getting the exact address off them hopefully tomorrow as in previous emails they have just mentioned the suburb. Company name is Mat Craft. And just a hint, probably a waste of time going next week to have a sneak peak read into that whatever you will haha
