| If theres anyone in Perth interested in a Vertex Ridge kit for their soarer, give Ruben at Instyle Custom Panel N Paint a call. I've been talking to Ruben about ordering a kit for myself. He is interested in one too, so that makes two already. Apparently the kits come through from Japan sometime in October. Dont know about the price at this stage, only thing is I'm definitely down for one of these kits. If your thinking about buying one, give Ruben a call, he said we might be able to get a good deal depending on how many people are interested. Details are: Instyle Customs Panel & Paint Panel Beaters & Painters - Bibra Lake, WA 47b Sustainable Ave Bibra Lake WA, 6163 Australia ph: 08 9418 2482 Talk to Ruben. Disclaimer - In no way do I make a profit or cut by announcing this. My only motivation is that if more people are interested for this particular order, we might all be able to get the kits for cheaper. Saying that, it isnt a guarantee at this stage, Ruben is still in the process of communicating with the Australian supplier. Cool, Anyway I cant wait til i fit this thing on! BTW these pics are some I found on google off a forum in the US.

| Janitha isnt that the Blister/Wide Body Kit??? Is that the one you are trying to get a bulk buy of? or are you aiming for the standard Vertex kit? Cheers |

| You do realise there's a Vertex AU store in QLD right? Full kit is $2900 from their website (www.vertex-aus.com) but I believe that excludes GST and shipping costs. |

| Is this still going ahead? I am keen on a Vertex Ridge in the very near future too. Does anybody know how these fit, i.e. are they complete replacement for panels, or do they mold onto existing panels (pop-rivet and blended with fibreglass, etc)? |

| Yes I would like to know how this works? the front kit, side skirts are simple enough even the front Vented guards, but how dos the back work? around the lights there seems to be a depth or something to it and some lines that arn't original ( I have a 1997 model just wana know how it works as this is my dream kit..... and would be interested in the near future ) |

| riveted on guards. you have to cut 2-3 inches out of your wheel arch so you can run wider wheels. then attach the wide body guard. |

| ^ yup the above needs to be done to be able to fit the wider wheels at the back. Otherwise what would be the point in going widebody if you stuck with crummy tucked in wheels? |

| To take the full advantage of the Ridge kit, you need to metal work the rear guards to make them fit the widebody, so you can run the wide/low offset wheels. Otherwise, it looks as gay as the matt black one above... Some kents decided to pinch the soarer and dump it at low tide without wheels to see if it really is a 'sailplane'. JDM kents will know exactly what I'm on about |

| first you buy the kit ($3620), then you take it to a panel beater who will modify your rear guards and fit the kit for you. you will need a full respray which will cost $5000+ and you will need some wide wheels to go with, another $2000+. you are looking at $10,000+ for a ridge kit. not to mention that if you get defected for having one (as i know in victoria they are not legal), it will not be as easy as removing the panels as you have already hacked away at the rear guards. just get a normal vertex kit. |

| Ye, I think for the hassell your right warren hit up just the normal vertex, I wander if you can get the front and skirts and stick a normal vertex one on the back? I mainly like the front and it has nice abstract curves, but not over done |

| nope, you cant just get the skirts etc. as they are made they are a lot different to the standard vertex. have a look at these pictures, you can see they flare out and have cutouts
what i think i may do is get a standard vertex but get front and side carbon under canards like this

the "side under canard" actually improves the performance of your front splitter slightly. They make a significant difference when the rear is closed off by creating a high pressure pocket that acts on the front splitter. But yeah, they do look a little wanky on street cars. I put a pair on the track car, but pulled them off again. |

| 18x12 0 offset = widebody. I've got a set of Work VS wheels with these specs, 315 semi slicks baby! Fitment looks spastic on a soarer as the wheel sticks out SO much lol. I thought I could get away with it on the Supra, but nope, still need a widebody for that too. If you can get a hold of the Origin Australia distributor, he will be able to get you proper JDM fibreglass widebody front/rears for the JZZ30 Soarer. |

| And I wouldve gotten away with it if it weren't for you medalling kids. Oh and there is only two cars that those dimensions will fit.. Z33/z34 fairlady / 350z / 370z And all V series skylines... Ps... How exactly is this a thread? It started out as a group buy feeler thread from years ago and now were talking about baller fitment and Japanese to English text translations for height pitch attach imitation medieval times for sailplane sealing machine and the like, you ask????? |
