Have been looking into treating the fading (and dated) woodgrain on the dash and doors with Di-Noc Carbon Fibre and have some quotes... this stuff is very expensive though and is only available in fairly large sheets.
From my measurements, the smallest sheet available would cover the woodgrain on a shedload of Soarers - hence the EOI on group buy.
Price would be about $25 - $30 depending on postage costs

I Like it! I just watched the video too. I like the fact that you don't have to take the woodgrain out of the dash to put the Carbon Fiber Film on. Those wingnuts are a real pain.

Costa - I have measured the area of woodgrain panelling and to cover them all, the material size I worked out is 1220mm x 200mm - the price is based on the purchase of a 5 metre roll cut into sections. If you want more so that you can cover the centre console, instrument cluster surround, ashtray, cup holder etc etc then I can work out a price if you give me the dimensions.
James X2!!! The woman covering that centre console makes it look so easy!

i pulled all the trims out to do a proper job, if you dont use the 3m adhesive it can lift, if you remove all the trims, fold it over the back then use the 3M adhesive it holds tight as can be, if you just lay it on there when you use the heaters it softens the vinyl and can lift the corners

btw u used a piece 1x1.2 metres for the interior, left with a small piece, you have to cut the piece a fair bit larger than the part your wrapping so you can stretch it around the ends and corners. Think it was about 100 to my door for that much

that was pretty much only the woodgrain mate.
Dash woodgrain, door woodgrain, climate control woodgrain, manual surround woodgrain, cupholder woodgrain, the cointray woodgrain cover and woodgrain door switches.
But if your just refering to the upper doortrim and dash woodgrain then yeah it should be enough

Not sure - the clip where the guy covers the fairings on his motorbike shows the Di-Noc has a peel off backing and no need for the tin of glue. I will ask the distributor and get back to y'all on that one...

Distributor has answered...
DI-NOC is a self adhesive vinyl so generally no other adhesive is required.
In some applications a 3M contact primer is painted onto the surface on joins and edges where more adhesion is required.
For vehicles if you want to use additional adhesive you will need to use 3M Primer 94 so that you don’t damage the paint.
1 x 236 ml can is $37.50 + GST plus Freight $15.00 + GST.
So there you have it - if you want the glue it will push costs up by at least $52.50 - but considering you only need a smear of the glue around corners, 236ml is way more than necessary.
