I am under the car at the moment looking at how to fit these bushes etc. I have noticed my left side traction rod is 'loose'. By loose, I mean the bolt is tight, but the hub moves forwards and backwards about 1-2mm from slop in the bushes. I'll take a set of your traction and toe rods as well Costa. May as well do it now while the car is in bits. Might make another exhaust while I am under there. Might be time to go 3" single exhaust...

You can hammer or press out the knob part of the bush so the rubber breaks and then use an air hack saw to cut a slot or a pie in the steel backing and then an air chisel to rattle it out. It's in there tight due to the steel backed bushing.

Yep they do, the only thing left to tramp is the spring/strut harmonics in relation to the wheel slip. Therefore, you can still get some axle tramp depending on your spring rates - which is inherent in the design of the IRS setup - but certainly not as much as with the OEM bushes whcih are approx 30-50% void and have considerable movement. Once the subframe and diff is firmly in place - the rear end has a firm foundation to bond to chassis and act as one rigid structure.

Yep I've installed them on my own cars and customer's cars. Easy to fit and there's results to be had instantly. The slip in bush is designed to but up against the voids in the bush and stop it form moving around, whilst still retaining a semi solid bush function. For the cost and the ease of DIY install, they are a bargain

Comfort wise it's pretty much the same, but there is an increase in road noise and diff noise - nothing some dynamats / sound deadening sheets can't fix. The supra is worse because there's hardly any sound deadening material and the subframe attachment is the hatch floor/ spare wheel well. The handling is MAGIC though when these are installed. That's why we do these mods!

Fitted your D project traction and toe rods today Costa. The toe rods are an absolute godsend. Talk about easy toe adjustment. I just zeroed the eccentric bolt on both sides and used the D-project rods to make fine adjustments. Once the lock nuts are undone, you can make adjustments by hand- no tools needed. Normally I fuss around for ages getting camber correct then the toe adjustment mucks it all up and takes ages. Not any more. (God I sound like an infomercial!) I have to say, I still do not fully grasp how the traction rods actually tune the suspension. I understand they can eliminate bumpsteer, if you go to the trouble of plotting your bump steer. Regardless, these new ones have nice tight bushes, and if I need it they are adjustable.

I think I pipped you at the post Clayton, I bought the last set last week, you so need these, even with the solid sub frame bushes I still have tramp in a straight line, all good once it gets a bit sideways, I wonder if it has anything to do with the t56 and the shorter front section of the tailshaft, I have the adapter from drift motion to get rid of the doughnut and go for normal 1350 universals and a one piece tailshaft. By the way did you get a resolution to the issue you were having that we talked about a while back?
