Narvey - that's all good, and the bit about an additional 4 kits being finished will be news to everyone here. Its a shame we don't hear it from David directly.

Great news Narvy, thanks for the update. So is that 8 kits complete now? David, we all know how hard you have worked on this, Thank you, but please can you give us small updates when possible. This is a huge group buy to undertake & we all recognise your overall effort to make this happen for us. Any updates on postage?

Didn't know you had to study for Phys ED ? so once the exam is finished you can go over and take pictures of the 4 kits for everyone ? So if thats 8 kits , David & Scott have their kits, there's 4 kits at his house , where's the other 2, how come the recipients haven't posted ? Are you in the Group buy Narvey ?

Ok guys have some news for you all. Went and spoke to the guy making them as i was working near the shop today. Dave picked up 3 kits last night, so now i think 8 kits are at his house all ready and wrapped to send off. 2 more kits are in the making now and will be done in the next week or two and that will be the first lot to get sent off. From what i was told today, Dave is planning to hire a truck and deliver the first 10 kits as soon as they are finished. Dave has paid the shop, as the owner said nothing leaves there without full payment, so thats good. So in reality the kits will still be at least a 3 week wait. Im still not able to get in contact with Dave which is really annoying but im so over this, why the hell should i need to chase up the shop to find out what is going on when Dave is the one 'organising' this group buy. Im tempted to sell my kit and forget the whole thing ever happened.

If Scott knows the name of the business, why doesnt he give it to people ? AT least it might ease some tension for those invested financially to contact the workshop just to know someone is actually doing whats said ?

Daniel, i have already said this in an earlier post. The kits were negotiated at a good price for us as long as Dave did all the customer service side of things. The business in question did not want to have their name spread on the forums for this reason of having people ringing up and disrupting their work for all these questions. I have gone out of my way to visit the shop to get answers for people. This should be David responsibility but seeing as no one can seem to contact him for god only know what reason now, i thought i would do the next best thing. Narvey has seen David and spoke to him so there is another person to back up my posts if people think i am bullshiting. I now have the phone number for the shop so it is now easier for me to contact them directly if delays occur. But i am not putting their details on here,

I can always be the middle man here, I've been in this from the beginning and have always spoken up when updates were needed as soon as i had info. I'm pretty much always on the net and my phone is always on as it needs to be for work. I will probably get another front as a spare in the next few weeks. Chris, thanks for getting back to me for Dave, as if he still has no phone. How can you live without a phone... I will give you a call tomorrow to organise a time to pick up the grilles. Its good to know someone out there can contact Dave. Cheers

Well here goes …....... Over a year ago when I tried to warn members that this thread was already full of excuses and undeliverable promises by posting ….. “Was that before or after the dog ate your homework, David?” My post was deleted by the moderator/s A couple of weeks later, I was wrongly accused of being in cahoots with the guys from Sydney who tried to sell members a similar kit at a realistic price (without $500 padding) and the post wasn't deleted.(I'm in Qld. and don't know them) Every group buy needs permission to proceed. In my opinion, if the moderator/s had spent more time trying to protect the members and their money and less time trying to protect the business interests of the instigator of this thread, a lot of the people who are now out of pocket and in denial, would be happily getting on with their lives. I was surprised that anyone could believe a broken fibreglass body part could be put back into the mould for repairs (one of the claims made here) I was amazed that anyone could believe that a copy of a copy of a bodykit would somehow be worth more if it was a "limited" edition with a serial number. But the fact that anyone believes a Uni student who has no internet access is beyond belief. Another deadline has come and gone. Another promise has been broken. This will probably be deleted, but it had to be said.

And before anyone misconstrues anything in my previous post..... I DON'T believe david set out to rip anyone off, and I DO believe there is a reasonable chance that everyone will finish with a kit I just don't think it's gonna happen THIS year.

David has at least 8 kits at his place and paid for. Everyone will be getting their kits but as to when only dave knows that one..... I will be contacting the shop this week to ask them some things. I don't see why i should have to come on here and 'defend' dave as he should get it together and make an update to make people happy.

Jeeze, I'm glad I didn't buy into this also! Was very close though. The time taken to produce this kit would easily allow time to save for an original kit of any description and know there would be no headaches! I feel for everyone involved, especially for those who could probably use the money for something else at this time of year!
