Well i've finally seen my kit. Front bar is rough as guts, not to mention broken. Rear looks better and actually looks like it's been finished out of the mold unlike the front. Couldn't be bothered looking at the skirts. Thanks Dave. |

The only reason I haven't my grille yet is because Gavin picked the kits up from Scott personally, and David has got the grilles which he said he would send out with the kits. Seeming that my kit was never sent out by David and picked up by Gavin is the reason why he hasn't posted out my Grille yet. But in the post above he said he would do so once the kits were shipped, well once again we are way past that deadline... |

It's come down to the point where you need to pay some money to travel, find the kent, meet him one on one and get it out of him in any way possible.
Aside from whining on the forum, you need to do something constructive to get your parts/money back. Litigate or serve him notice - you all have strong cases against him as you transferred money and there's log online. Visit a debt collector, not a lawyer to recover the funds. This way, he will have to either pay out the funds + interest on top as well as fees, or he will have to declare personal bankruptcy.
You guys need to go all Michael Westin on this guys arse to get anything done. Forum posts are not going to do anything. |

I think a stern lesson needs to be taught here guys, and legal action is the way to proceed.
You may not get your money back, but at least it will be on his permanent record.
IF the QLD police are so cunning to arrest someone over a facebook picture these days, I'm sure that an actual crime here, eg: David taking money and not delivering the said goods is an arrestable offense. I don't have any contacts in SA with the police force, however that shouldn't stop others from trying to file a complaint at least and then work towards the banks and then file for civil action or action through a debt collector. If you can't get your money - at least get even.
No f.ucking around guys - send him a letter or registered mail to his last known address or his mums house demanding a refund or delivery of the goods by a specified time (eg: 07/06/2011) and if that doesn't happen, apply to recover the funds through the proper channels with a debt collector. You should get a judgment within 3 months of filing from a magistrate and then he will be forced to pay, otherwise the sheriff can remove his property under a warrant, take the car as possession and auction it off etc. If all else fails, there will be a permanent record on his name and he will not be able to apply for loans/credit card etc as there are outstanding civil warrants. In addition, it could actually bankrupt him if you keep on pushing for payment.
The law is simple - If you owe, you must pay. If you don't pay, people can take the required measures and recover the funds or put a mark against your name. All it takes is time and effort and the diligence of the filer to make it stick.
I had trust that David would do his best and get this all sorted by now, but I guess he is just a thieving scumbag who took everyone's money, did up his own car and stuffed everyone around by delivering sub standard kits to everyone whilst making as many excuses as possible to prolong the inevitable.
Really sucks that people like David exist only to serve their own interests. Amazing what money does to people ... |

I technically could put my kit on now but i'm building the car up to hopefully have it entered in auto salon this year (which doesn't seem to be happening at this stage) and also the inconvenience factor man. I work 7 days a week day and nights on some occasions so the time that i do have to book the car in to different workshops is golden to me as i expect everything to be done in the one hit and not constantly having to bring the car back to finish something off or touch something up and so on. Annnnndd i hat seeing half jobs done on anything...especially my car soo yehh....
Costa hardest thing is we don't have his address or details (some of us do but yeh) and i know we have his bank account details and technically the police could follow that up but what would be the first step.
I geuss thats what the whole cocaine sale was he was having.. saving funds to have a few lines with some brazillian birds! |

Hey guys,
Until we figure out what's happening with this i just have a call out to all the guys that got their kits finnaly sent out..... Did anyone receive a 97 grille with their kits that dave sent out that wasn't meant to receive one? If you have received this as part of the F*** up i would really aprpeciate it if you could send it down my way as i have paid for a grille which was supposedly stuck on to one of the kits he sent out in the boxes and since i've had no contact i don't have a grille because i also paid for postage for my kit but then one of the VIC boys drove up and got our kits which is why i nevver got my Grille. Again i know this sounds stupid, sad, pathetic but i don't see the point in paying for another grille when i have paid for one and for postage which all up i'm owed over $500.
Just putting it out there in case theres still some honesty and integrity left in these forums.

No Peter, its not a smear on ALL members just a select few that i unfortuantely have had to deal with who have been dodgy as! If you like i can name and shame each and everyone who has stooged me over the years on these forums but they know who they are and i at least have a bit of respect for them even though i've been stooged.
This was not a go at any of the boys on here i havn't had a problem with no one on these forums (apart from the people who have stooged me that i've kept quiet about) and this place has been a god send to me and im sure many other soarer owners and i'm sure there are some people that can back me up on that! i hope!
Pete all i'm saying mate is that back in the days when my brother had his soarer and i was a little teeny boppa looking over his shoulder reading up all the articles when he was big in the scene i didn't see as much dodgyness and people were more honest about buying/selling items and group buys.
There is a still a majority of GREAT guys and girl on here that still show that integrity i was speaking about but when you see things like this group buy it just gets you thinking what happened to the old days. (not bagging david but the whole situation just frustrates me)
And Sebastian just putting it out there mate you never know what could have happened in this debarcle. |

Whoa guys, let's not fight amongst ourselves. It's David that's f ed it up for all of us.
Peter, do you know for sure that someone has your grill or are you just guessing?
Also you paid for delivery, it got delivered. Maybe not the way it was supposed to but it got delivered. Do you intend on passing the delivery money on to the party that delivered it to you if you ever get your money back from David or are you just going to keep it for yourself and consider it a discount?
As for honesty and integrity correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you pick the BEST parts from 5 kits to make sure YOU had the best kit? Meanwhile I got some piece of •••• that's going to cost way more than a $150 grill to fix. I think we ALL have complaints with this group buy but you should have the least of them. |

I understand that you would like your grille but I'm down $1900 and not a thing to show. Paid for grille, freight and kit and got nothing.

I'm not assuming nor do i know that someone has my grille for sure! I was simply ASKING, if anyone had received one in error as it was worth a try. I'm not trying to say that i'm worse off than anyone else nor was i bagging or questioning anyone involved in this group buy because i feel everyones been let down. Maybe someone was sent a grille that wasn't supposed to? was just putting it out there as who knows what could have happened.
I would be delighted to give my postage money to the individual who spent 2 days all up going up there and driving back everyones kits as i greatly appreciate his help and would like to know that that money has gone towards someone who put their limb on the line to deliver the kits and not just thrown away for nothing. I also DIDN'T have first preference of which kits to take as the bodykits that were brought back to VIC were the ones that were ready to be thrown out by the shop and were crambed in a corner to make space and i also was the last one to pick up my kit from the guy in melbourne so i technically got everybody elses second dibs mate so im not making a fuss about that.
Josh, i'm not trying to say im the worst off man, i know you're in the biggest hole than anyone here because you still have nothing so i feel for ya man i really do.
I hope and wish that everything falls into place and everyone gets their parts as i wouldn't like to see us argue between eachother. |

Bit hard to tell what street it is from a photo and none of the above is Davvid (guy on the left could have been him when he was 13 maybe). I think the best thing to do is go to the Police / Lawyer / Legal aid / debt collector or what ever. The chance of him coming back on here again and looking is probably slim to none.
Seriously don't mean to be mean but its time to be realistic and either write off your purchase as never coming, or doing something about it off the forum.

The file type of the photo tells us its in Firle, suburb of Adelaide.
The fifth photo shows a plan drawing of the house, which shows a partial street name. ARIAN ROAD.
Google is your friend. its possibly actually MARIAN ROAD.
I tried Google street view to find the number but I couldn't see the house, some that were similar so I believe its in the right area.
Its a Police Issue now, hope the small amount of info is of use to you poor blokes.
