so for noobs like me who don't even know what axel tramp is, can you explain a little? is it similar to body roll? and would having these make the ride any stiffer over bumps etc?

axle tramp is basically when you are taking off quickly and spinning the wheels or doing a burnout you get a big vibration the wheels bounce while they are spinning lol

Hi Phil, these are Supra style rear mounts, you will need a Supra swaybar and supra mounts if you want to upgrade to the supra setup. If not, you can use the standard soarer swaybar no problem and just mount it the factory position. If you can upgrade, the supra setup is a better setup as the arm is shorter and it is mounted to the subframe instead of the boot floor sheet metal.

Warren, Axel tramp is a really fscked up wheel bounce that happens when you loose traction. IT can happen to stock powered cars or aftermarket cars. You can definitely feel it when you have an LSD as the whole rear end bounces up and down instead of gripping and going forward. Axel Tramp can bend arms, de-bead tyres and destroy wheels/tyres and suspension components as well as hurt performance and safety. These bushes fix this problem that is inherit on all multi-link irs setups, by securely mounting the subframe to the chassis.

Hi Costa, so with the benefit of reducing axel tramp what would be the down fall of running this kind of setup, if any? Cheers

NVH will be increased and harshness, im running solid rear bushes in my cradle and diff, its a fair bit noisier and you feel the bumps alot more than with the rubber.

Yep you will get a bit more road noise coming through, nothing a stereo or some extra sound deadening can't tune out. You can buy stick on dynamat style deadening to cover the rear set section that will isolate most of the noise for around $100 or so.

The benefits for my applications and opinion outweigh the increase in NVH. Axel tramp has already killed one expensive set of tyres at the drag strip by breaking the inner seal bead rendering the tyre useless. In addition, it will break your diff and can be really dangerous in applications where you loose traction either on the drift circuit or in the street in the dry/wet.

If you want your soarer to handle well, you need these parts - plain and simple :-) I've got adjustable coilovers, urethane bushes all around, adjustable arms and sway bars and this is the intermediate step until I fabricate custom lower and upper control arms, ikeya style to get my ride handling on rails.

These are for Supra JZA80 as well as Soarer JZZ3* UZZ3*

Hm I would say that they could be compatible from a mount/bolt pattern point of view, but the urethane component may not be compatible with the mount as the shape could be different.

EPC has different part numbers for each one:
Soarer: 48824-50010
Supra: 48832-14050

Cost is around $20 each if you were to buy new from Toyota according to the EPC.

Got the bushes in production, just waiting on the rear subframe mount w/swaybar attachment to be done, as it is the most complicated.

Probably going for a GOLD anodized finish for that extra wank factor. Peeps can spray them black for stealth if they want :-)

Hey Adam,

Suspension and Swaybars will not stop axel tramp unfortunately - it is a fundamental problem with the bushes in the factory setup.

You can run the aftermarket rear subframe bushes and keep your soarer swaybar - but for best results, the supra swaybar is stiffer due to it being mounted on the subframe.

costa, is there mounting holes in the soarer subframe to do a straight swap over of the supra swaybar mounts? or do you need to drill and tap holes to fit?

The rear bushes have tapped holes for those that want to run a Supra Swaybar on a Soarer for extra performance. Straight Swap - and backwards compatible with soarer and supra swaybars as required.

I'm told they should be here this week! It's been a slow haul, but getting there in the end.

I've fully funded the production, so there's around 12 sets ready to go once in stock at the GB prices for those that want to jump on.

mmm traction :-)

Hey Guys,

I have a new product that I designed and manufactured along side this project or those that want a compromise and easy install. It will assist with eliminating the axle tramp by compressing the factory Subframe bushes instead of completely replacing them. This set is $220 delivered for a limited time and featured below :-)

I have sets available for individual purchase and GB discount purchase.

Set Price that Includes
Front Subframe Mounts
Rear Subframe Mounts - Supra style (backwards compatible with soarer)
Rear Diff Mounts
Front Diff Mounts
Total: $750 Delivered to your door GB Price!

Individual Pricing when buying part of this GB (You can buy one pair of bushes as below if you want to!)
Front Subframe Mounts - $220 Delivered
Rear Subframe Mounts - Supra style (backwards compatible with soarer) $220 Delivered
Rear Diff Mounts - $150 Delivered
Front Diff Mounts - $220 Delivered

New Product that's not listed here. This is a Street version that is easy to install! No bushes are required to be removed and you can do this in your drive way with basic tools. This locks the Front Subframe mounts and locks the Rear Subframe mounts by compressing the factory bushes and providing support to the factory bushes. This is the best compromise for street duties to eliminate axle tramp.

I am working on a Street solution for the diff mountings as well, should be ready and in stock in around 2-3 months.

Set price: $220 Delivered

Cameron: Nope. My puppy seems to love it too much. She loves everything to do with cars as she practically grew up in a living room full of ever changing car parts lol.

No worries mate, I understand, my dogs are very well looked after also.

Nice looking parts by the way, how much difference would they make on a UZZ31 or UZZ32?

Not too clued up on the UZZ32 yet as I don't own one so I can't test fit.

Main factor is nearly zero axle tramp and the rear wheels/subframe are properly attached to the chassis for increased handling and traction when cornering

Sorry guys, I made a mistake on the street spec version. It is front diff mounts to subframe and rear subframe. IM designing front subframe and rear Saud street versions now.

Mini update. I installed the Solid rear subframe bushes without an issue today. Took around 1-1.5hrs and was 100% bolt on - no dramas or cutting or anything. My machinist made them spot on!

Easy DIY install as well.

As far as noise goes, NO noticeable increase in road noise at all and the rear end did feel stiffer in the corners.

I'm going to install the front street spec diff mounts when I change the diff over as I've sold it to Chris Ryan and then I'll take more pics and report back.

Yep I have a few sets left. I'm maintaining the GB price of $750 for a set until sold out :-)

How many left? Got a RAC skidpan coming up, and if i notice bad tramping i might be interested in a set.

These are ok for UZZ31 yeah? Any difference if i have a W58 Manual conversion?

I've got around 5 complete sets left and some individual pairs outside of a set.

You will notice bad tramping in most soarers without these mods, wet or dry, stock or modified when you manage to loose enough traction - especially if you have an LSD. :-)

Hi Yang,

I recommend a mechanic to install the seat belt if you're not sure about what you're doing, as it is a safety item. Thanks.
