You basically have to solder them in, so some competency with soldering is all you need, and a little time I guess.
Theres heaps of tutes on these if you search, will post a tute link tomorrow if you don't find them. |

Yeah, the same LCD's,
There didn't seem to be much interest, so have left it. and only ordered, what was needed.
If we get enough people, we can probably get the price down further. |

Pretty self explanitory, I've already fixed two of my lcds. Takes a long time to clean the board and get it ready for the new lcd. |

What is the price Costa, $105A for the screen like last time?
The 95 Soarer has a bled screen so after having done it to the 91 Soarer I know what I need to do now. |

Cool guys, I'm placing an order for the LCDs and will be offering a reconditioned climate control with new LCDs and globes as last time at around ~$230 change over with paid return postage for your old unit.
Lcd and globe reco packs will be $105 delivered in Australia to your door - NZ A bit more ~ $130 delivered for international parcels.

For a first timer, it will take 3hrs start/finish to do the whole job, including remove/refit the climate control unit.
Install is pretty straight forward. This PDF is basically the nuts of the job: http://lextreme.com/tutorial/sc_installation_guide_v2_B.pdf
The only tricky bit is that the LCD screen itself has a lot of pins and you need to prep the PCP properly.
I cut the old LCD out with wire cutters, and then solder sucker the pins and solder away and drill the holes with a 1mm dril bit to ensure that the new LCD get's in the first time. You also need to get the LCD height right, otherwise you will break the LCD when you assemble the whole unit together.
If you don't have patience or fine solder skills - this is not a job to attempt yourself!
