Hi Everyone,

I am currently working with an auto electrician to make a plug and play harness for my Soarer. I wanted to extend the offer to all Soarer Central members as it seems to be a highly desired part.

At this point we are at the stage of creating a harness to test on my car (Auto TT Ecu), and once that is successful depending on the interest here we will roll out some units.

At this point each harness will cost between $200-$250 AUD posted anywhere in Australia.

Right now this is an EOI, but if 15 people put hands up and say 'Yes i want one of these' i will work to get them all done.

I have seen quite a few 'dodgy' group buys, and i dont want this to be one. As such the way i will do this is once the first unit it tested and completed and 15 people have agreed to purchasing a unit a $100 deposit from each person will be needed before continuing.

If one person does not come through and we do not get a replacement, all money will be returned.

If all is successful we will begin creating the harnesses.

To ensure everyone gets a quality unit, i will personally try each harness to make sure the unit is working before being sent via registered post. If it does not work, or the quality is poor, i will deal with the auto electrician to get it resolved.

Once the unit has been posted, it is out of my hands and i wont be responsible for any issues.

I will be fronting the money for parts and an E-Manage Blue and Ultimate, however at this point i can only offer the harness for people running the same ecu as myself (91 Auto Ecu).

If People who are interested could please put your name on the list and once we have 15 people we will move forward.

Can you post pictures of the harness ?

how long are the wiring harnesses each side of the Ecu and main plugs ?

How long the wiring for the emanage unit is ?

Cheers .

Hi Daniel,

Can do once it is completed, essentially modeled off a Boomslang concept, just more affordable.

I believe the wiring between the ecu and main plugs will be ~22cm and the wiring for the emanage ~50cm, i will be putting mine in the glove box so it will have enough to be comfortable.

Thanks

Also if you needed it longer/shorter i will run it past the auto electrician and i dont think their would be a problem.

Hi guys,

I got to catch up with the Auto Electrician today and he has ordered a Boomslang unit to replicate.

He also said as a group buy deal he can offer the unit at $200.

If you are interested let me know asap.

Thanks.

Damn, this would have been great if I hadn't already spliced it into the factory loom.

Cheap at 200 bucks.

Hi Ethan,

When modding a Soarer, you will eventually need to upgrade the engine management for tuning. The e manage blue and ultimate are a great solution with many Soarer Central members using them.

The problem is the e manage is a piggy back unit that you need to tap into certain wires from your factory ECU. As i have already hacked mine a bit i didn't feel it was a good idea to do more so i am getting a harness made that is all bit in.

Rather than do any splicing, just plug it in and your done.

ahh okay, kinda makes sense, correct me if i'm wrong, the dyno place i have been speaking with said after i finish my basic mods(exhaust, twin intake, intercooler) they would put in a boost gauge and controller, but will need to use an e manage ultimate after that to tune it..

so these e manage ultimates are not plug and play? how would they put it in then? any chance of a diagram or picture to help my understanding?

i just don't want to miss out on a group buy of something that i may potentially need soon.

The E manage unit normally comes with a universal harness. This means that a lot of splicing and soldiering is needed to install the unit.

With this PnP unit, It goes between your current loom and ECU with a tail piece that plugs into the Emanage.

Basic mods should be fine, but if you start putting the boost up you will defiantly want to look at the tuning component.

Thanks.

Sounds good, depending on your end goal the Blue may be a good option and a lot cheaper.
