Well, it turned out, after a little inside investigation, it is actually a '82 911 TARGA converted into a 930 cabriolet, w/o twin turbos. 
Man, that was one good looking car!! he did all the work himself, very professional I might add, including a brand new 3.0, new interior, paint, and tires. He showed me reciepts that totalled $25k USD and was selling it for $16k and while it was very tempting, I have my heart set on a factory 930 TT. 
He dropped the price to $15k, but i told him that I already have a 911 cabriolet, yellow, w/ that same wing!! Its still not a TT!!!!!  |

Always good, Callum! I keep a positive mental attitude everywhere I go, and its very infecting! LOL Just keep on smiling, mate! Just think about it this way: the average motorhome I sell is about $250k USD, while the most expensive I sell is $750k USD. I'm kinda like a realtor, but my houses comes with tires and 600hp diesel engines! LOL They are the "in" thing here in the US. Really, for whatever reason they're buying them for, I'm just glad that I'm here to sell them! LOL (if I just sell 2 a month, its a good month! And the gf doesn't do too bad herself as she owns a beauty salon)
I mean hey, you're here on this piece of rock floating in space for just a short time, you might as well enjoy yourself while you can!! I still haven't figured a way to take it with me, yet! LOL |

No Ali!! The wing has ventilation that allows some fresh air on the engine, but if you look real close in the pic, gray one above, you can see the intercooler in the front bumper. He took off the fog lights and grill to allow better ventilation to the brakes and intercooler. Clean job though! I don't want a conversion (nobody can really tell) but I would'nt be true to myself. Oh, and I'm sure you could tell if I tried to race a stock Mustang GT I'd be eating his dust. LOL I already have one of those! LOl |

He basically did the same conversion I did on my yellow 911; it started out as a white 911 targa, but I cut the roof off, gave it a new interior, tires, a/c, and resprayed it yellow...BUT heres the kicker, I dropped in a 1991 4.3 liter Vortec GM V6 with a supercharger!! I had to really cram it all inside that small engine bay in the boot!! A whole lot of fabrication had to be done. The only problem I had with it was the cooling issue, a front engine being relocated to rear! I put 2 aluminum radiators with turbo fans and and underneath i fabricated sheetmetal vents that redirects the air upward to the engine. But still in this harsh climate, I only really drive it the spring or fall when there is no heat issues. It was my first Porsche, now w/a GM engine lol, and I promised myself that I'd do NO more conversions, as I can get what I want already there w/out the blood, sweat, and tears it took to get the yellow one running!! Lol. Just kinda think what Lew did to that van and the problems he's having, I've been there-done that!! LOL  |

Oh yeah, my engine is "backwards" b/c I had to fabricate a new driveshaft to accomidate the GM transmission!! It's only 13" long!! |

Not with just "Any" American engine, Ali, a 4.3liter vortec Chevy Cyclone supercharged! Its about as fast as the Strozeck TT! Not bad from upgrading it from a 3.0. I had to take the supecharger and EFI off b/c it was way to fast to drive and having problems, mechanically, so I replaced it 4 barrel edlebrock carbeurator and never had any problems again! Its still mean muscle!! LOL

I wish we had some foreclosure's here. The booming economy we have at the moment makes it impossible to get into a house smartly. Can be done but at this time would be a stupid thing to do. |

You know, I guess its bad everywhere else BUT Louisiana...We are still rebuilding and there is more people than available houses out here. The growth boom is expected to last for another 10 years. I guess those people bit off more than they could chew??

Well guys, it turns out that the owner of the Porsche is going through a divorce and lowered the price to $13,500, soooooooo I think the deal's back on!! Yipee!! LOL You gotta stay persistant on these older Porsches b/c it becomes more of an appreciation value rather than a book value!! |
