Gary, how does the "pro tour" differ from the "drift Australia" events we see on speedweek? I sat through the whole lot on Sunday hoping to see your car in action.

Drift Australia was the premier series until last year when they had money problems, this year they had only one event.Pro Tour is a new 10 event format that runs in QLD and NSW at the moment, with bigger plans and maybe TV next year. DA run a knock out system where as we run a points system so we get more runs per event, we also get to do demos and some V8 supercar rounds along with Nikkon GP and the Bathurst 12hr.

+1

I recorded the whole lot so that if you were on the box I have captured it. I saw the Peer cars in the background but no demonic/demented Soarer.

I would believe that TV is not very Drift friendly, just got back from the track after 4 days of drift demos and the Friday night Pro Tour grand final, but alas we came 2nd behind Leighton Fine in one of the Peer cars, we got done by one point in a rerun, sorry guys we'll try harder next time and yes we picked a new sponsor at the GP

Is this your first year campaigning the Soarer? If so that is a very impressive result considering some of the "pedigree" cars you are up against.

Ummmm...

Yes Ben first year out, surprisingly the Soarer is the easiest car I've ever set up for drift, but I won't tell you the secrets just yet. It's a lot harder to set a car up to go sideways properly. As for pedigree we all know that Soarers are all fat ass bit---s until they go to Weight Watchers

Have just flipped the intercooler as the tyre was rubbing on the r/h cooler pipe, due the big lock we run,the advantage is that the pipes shorter and more direct now. Also a pic of my honda ute that I've just put 14x7.5's on along with some home made flares, 550cc of pure power.

Hey Gary. I got a few pics of yours at the Gold Coast Gp. Coming around with, and then without the rear spoiler hehe.

Was good to head over to the pit area and see it close up. Surprised to see the wood trim left it. Drifting with class

have done some more mods, as you can see a scoop that the front bar slides into to maximise are flow to the rad and intercooler, have altered the sides on the rear wing which should make the car kick sideways quicker at speed, and have modded the the rear traction arm mounts to level with the car on the ground in the quest for more mechanical traction, last meeting we went up a tyre size to 255/40 x 17 which helped a lot, just after traction that's not so tyre sensitive, will let you know if it works.

Hope to testing before the next event (24th), our new driver is ex. Drift Australia and is now a stunt driver at Movie World and the suspension whizz who set up all the EVO's for the show swears it will work so nothing too lose, can always take it back to where it was.

Came 2nd at Parklands by one point to our old driver Josh, but we are well ahead on the championship points, the altered rear arms made a huge difference a lot more drive off the line and driving sideways with the same tyres and alignment we ran at Tamworth, the mod is well worth the trouble. We will be at Eastern Creek on the Sat.drifting for the Time attack meeting and at Wakefield Park on the Sun. for the Pro Tour round 3.

Well done. I have seen a few Soarers popping up around the motor sport scene lately. There was another Soarer drifting in south QLD recently I saw, and then there was an insane V8TT thing over in perth on 1HD coverage of the drags.

It could be done but the whole thing is welded in and plated at the front due to the extra load on the stock mount. I have templates for what I have done, which would have to be adjusted slightly depending on the ride height. The only reason I left the top bolt in was just in case it didn't work.
