Haha, thanks Andrew, it's way louder than I expected which I'm pretty happy about. After it's been tuned I'm going to try & register it then stuff a cage into it & do the interior, meaning remove the interior. I took for another drive tonight, again just around the block, but this time I raised the idol to 950-1000rpm & it was much easier to drive. No stalling & less shuddering in the drive train.
The Tacho is reading twice what it's revving as the wolf signal has become incorrect after removing the ignitors which runs the factory tach. I've spoken to Robbie at wolf about it but he never got back to me with how to fix it, & seemed like he didn't know. I am running the tacho output wire on the wolf directly to the dash now. Can anyone offer some advice on how to correct it?

Here's a couple of pics of the massive 12mm head studs after a very complicated install. Thanks to Paul M for the advice to use ford Pinto ARP's, they work great but things get tricky under the intake side spider gears. Also you have to recess all the stud platforms down on the heads with a counterbore. I also hade both heads re-surfaced and double checked the block was straight. If I were doing it again I would have the block re-surfaced also, just to seal the MLS gaskets as they need two perfect surfaces. This had me worried when putting it all back together as I thought they might leak. I bought a leak-down tester from Rocket,(best value for a good one.) And luckily all cylinders were very low leakage with no sound or bubbles coming from the radiator, nor any sound or air coming from the throttle body, just a small blow from the oil filler cap on the valve cover,WHEEW.

Happy to help mate. Tell me about it. I had my heads resurfaced too and stoned the block surface personally for that same reason. The amount of time and money that has gone into the heads is scary.
I haven't done much with mine lately but did pick up my PPG T56 which is a nice bit of gear. Still need to look at a clutch setup to suit and sell the R154 setup.
Keep up the good work and I'll have to try and see this thing in action.

I haven't updated in ages but not much progress. I'm still repairing the power steering pump & may have a clunky diff, not sure yet but I'm going to weld my old free spinner & put that in. Also got a Whiteline swaybars to go in, & the biggest Job is to clean up the wiring loom before a dyno tune. I'm making up a new inlet manifold aswell, because the 1st one I made was a bit scruffy & was to high for me to fit a strut brace.
These flange plates are harder to make than you might think. First I drew them up on turbo cad, got them cut out, then counter bored all the holes on two different angles. That's why it's so hard to find aftermarket intakes for the V8, because it's all offset. 1j & 2j is a piece of cake.
