Thought I would put something together for my build. It's been going on for a number of years now (and still going) and changed a few times over the years.
The build summary as follows:
Turbo & Exhaust - Twin Garrett GT35 0.63 exhaust with twin 60mm wastegates. - Homemade manifold (Could be better, but simple twin log design) - Twin 3" stainless exhaust from turbos back to magnaflow centre crossover muffler to twin 3" stainless mufflers.
Engine: - 10thou Ross forged pistons - Argo rods with ARP bolts - 12mm ARP head studs - Cometic gaskets - 272 degree 10.5mm lift cams - Custom valve springs and titanium retainers - 1mm oversized stainless valves - Shim under bucket conversion - Minor port and polish - Ross harmonic balancer - Megan engine mounts - ID2000 injectors (for E85, fuel pump and lines to be sorted) - Twin water to air intercoolers - Currently wired to a Haltech E8 from the previous setup. - Yukon individual ignition coils
Driveline: - PPG T56 6 speed (Replacing the R154) - Clutch to be sorted - Standard Torsen LSD (Might need an upgrade)
Wheels, Brakes & Suspension: - 19" Volk GT-C's - New coilovers to be sorted to replace old ones - All new bushes throughout. - LS400 4 pot fronts, slotted rotors - Supra 2 pot rears, slotted rotors - Braided lines.
Interior: - Factory black interior (non-sunroof) - Drfit carbon fibre front seats - A few guages to be mounted
Still plenty to do including the intake manifold and intercooler piping, electric power steering pump, plenty of wiring etc.
Anyway, here are a few photos so far:
This is where it spent most of it's time sitting next to the 97 black on black vvti manual before I sold it (and still regret it)
And arriving home after moving.
The original vortech supercharger setup.
Here is the mock up of one turbo.
Intercooler mock up.
Relocating the fuse box.
Engine during assembly.
And as it sits now. Chucked on the ITB's for and giggles.

Hi Paul, great to see you've finally created a build thread for this monster. T56 with PPG gear set, NICE!! Are you also buying the sequential shifter they have available? I priced it all up & it wasn't cheap. Did you buy it already built from PPG? I saw one going very cheap not so long ago from a private seller but it was already sold. What type of clutch were you thinking about getting? Also could you post some pics of the turbo manifolds?

G'day Clayton. It's been a long time coming. The one from the private seller that was already sold, was to me . It's currently getting serviced and should be back in april. The guy that is selling it to me is upgrading to the full sequential from ppg. I'll probably speak to npc about a twin plate to handle my requirements.
I'll chuck some photos up during the week. I've updated the build on performance forum with some pics. They are nothing special and if I had the time again would probably do them differently, but they will do the trick.
Yeah, I still plan on using the electric power steering pump from the mr-s. There are some guys on toymods installing the electric assisted steering columns which are a better idea but more complicated and involved.

Haven't touched this in awhile. I did get the gearbox and twin plate. All is waiting to go in. I pulled the motor out a month ago when I realised I had pinched the rear seal when putting it in. I've got a week off next week, so hoping to replace the seal and bolt up the box and drop it back in.
Was talking to CPC a few weeks ago about a nice cnc intake manifold. Just have to convince myself to fork out that sort of coin.

Looks good Paul, if you need motivation like me try watching Andrew Mackellar race his at the next sports sedan round at Wakefield Park. Ooh what I would do for that gearbox!!! Drool.

Hey Aaron. Wow, over a year since I last touched this thing. It was sitting in storage for almost a year and only just moved back home, and unfortunately the house has taken all my time and money.
Last thing to happen, was got the clutch and box sorted and installed. Made a custom shifter and upgraded the clutch master cylinder. Been trying to acquire another soarer over the last couple of weeks which would allow me to finish the fabrication in the old one and then transfer everything over. Hopefully I can convince the guy to sell it to me. Regardless, I think the later part of the year will see some things happen with this.
