| Jeff, thanks that sounds like great advise. I was going to use a flapper disc & sand down the welds that came out dodgy & then re-weld them. Robert, the alloy is 3mm so should be fine. The radiator & cooler will be infront of the engine where they were before but I have more room now due to loosing the aircon rad. I'm still deciding wether to use the old cooler or fab a new core flowing vertical instead of horizontal. |

| a little update. I've nearly finished the fuel system, it starts with E85 proof rubber hose from tank to surge then Teflon braid to hard line under the car then splits to two braided lines into the fuel rails which I also made.
Driveshaft is finished Koyorad installed intercooler installed but I'm still doing the piping |

| Thanks guys, i've been very demotivated lately as its been off the road for over two years now. But I'm pushing hard to have it running with a basic tune by WTAC on the 19th so I can put it in the show & shine area. I'm still waiting on some wheels I purchased from Varrstoen 9 weeks ago, I'm not at all happy with the service. So I have under 2 weeks to have it running but not finished. |

| don't feel demotivated Clayton, Just think, mine has been off the road over 2 years now and no progress has been made at all.... Just gathered dust, INSIDE and out. Not happy. Hopefully 6boost will have some good news for me soon and the progress can really begin |

| Excellent handy work there Clayton. If it comes to the crunch and you need an extra pair of hands one evening in the week before WTAC let me know. |

| Andrew, thanks for the offer mate but it should be fine & I wouldn't put you through the torture of working in my messy garage! Paul, I sure can't wait to compare our dyno results to see the differences between turbo size & manifold design. I am regretting using standard size ARP head studs, should have drilled & used 1/2 inch like you did but time will tell. I think 25 psi boost will be the limit with these studs. Josh & Paul; Josh aren't you zooming around in a V8 Maloo ATM? And Paul you've got another fast Soarer as a daily?? It does hurt having them off the road but I'm stuck driving a Hyndai exel!!! I've been busting to buy a new daily but can't until I finish the Soarer. Aaron, it's $50 if you want to put your blue car in the S/shine area, any chance you would be tempted? Please give me a call on Saturday if you don't see my car, I will PM my number to you. Is anyone else thinking of going? Should be great this year & I might even stick around for the drifting if that AMAZING 350z 6.2 LS3 TT shows up off the cover of the latest Zoom. |

| Unfortunately I got rid of the other soarer too. Wish I didn't now. I'm driving my work Hyundai I30 as my daily. I feel your pain. |

| Got the car started finally yesterday. there was a split in the crank sensor wire hidden up by the noise protection, took me for ever to work it out. I've rewired most of the loom and it's now running full sequential injection & ignition. This has made the idle stable even after deleting the idle control valve. No more batch fire leaving gas sitting on top of the valve until it opens, it also should help the air/fuel ratio and fuel economy, not that it's going to be any good anyway. this is the rear water bridge I've made up. at the moment im using it as a fuller for the rear to take care of any air pockets but I will run it to a bubble tank in future. It hasn't been cleaned up or polished yet.

| It's been a looong time since I have posted. Today I dropped the car off the stands for the first time in 3 years and boy it felt good. I only got to drive it inside the garage as it was dark and the indicators aren't working for some reason.

| Made a new catch can
The clutch is going to take some getting used to, it is like a switch, on or off. I had I bit of wheel spin to get going just so it wouldn't stall on take-off. The reason I haven't posted in so long is because I removed the engine again and drilled and tapped 12mm head studs just to make it tuffer.

| Needs more turbo! No, seriously though, looking amazing - nice work! Any idea what kind of power it's putting down with those monster snails on it? |

| I think you might have bonnet clearance issues Just kidding bud, looks great! I would have loved to do this to my 1UZ, I also know what you are talking about with the clutch.. I installed a ceramic button clutch in my 1JZ soarer, and promptly changed it out for a HD organic. Impossible in traffic! Can't wait to see more.. |

| I took it for a drive around the block this morning before work. It drives like a race car. The cusco diff feels like it's been welded, the larger 90mm throttle body means it revs very fast with a small amount of push, plus the harsh clutch and grippy semi's all combined with a lot of noise it's crazy quick. Mathew it's still running on a start up tune from Wolf but power feels promising, from a small 2nd gear launch at half throttle it totally smoked the 295's. There is nowhere near my house that I could floor it, the tyres are so grippy that it feels like I'm gunna shatter a gearbox or diff if I go deeper. It seems to have Zero lag but I need to get it to the tuners as I leave for work on Sunday for nearly a month. Tai believe or not the bonnet actually fits. But I need to make a strut brace that will work around the intake manifold. |

| Clayton that looks f....n awesome. Love how it all looks in the engine bay. Love the wheels. Love your wanton disregard for the peace and quiet in your neighbourhood in the early hours of the morning Great job mate. Can't wait to see it on the track. |
