This month I've been busy sorting out a 3UZ-FE conversion to my UZZ32 Soarer.
Goals were a stock unmodified engine with more power, the 3UZ is the perfect choice with nearly 300hp and 435nm of torque.
I was already running a 5 speed A650e auto behind my 1UZ with a TCM2000 controller but now the benefit of the 3UZ ill mean it will be able to run the 5 speed via the 3UZ ECU.
Most of the mechanical work is done, few small things left to torque up etc, but this weekend I'll get started with the wiring, I've already prepared some looms from a spare 1UZ to chassis loom so most of it will be a game of join the wires.

This is very tempting, perhaps after I've discarded the lazy box, unless I go boosted. Great work Mike, you've turned this 32 into some next level stuff. Do tell of the struggles and cursing though, id like to know what I may get myself into

Nice work Mike, this is something I have always thought of doing when I get a 32 .. just imagine this combined to an AWD with the active suspension and AWS .. a real beast

Isn't it the same power as a 1uz vvti?
A wee bit more powerful, most evidence shows a little over 300hp
The basic block measurements are the same, otherwise thats about all the similarities, they are reworked inside and the heads / intake is completely different.
Thanks Elie and Peter. It's getting there.
Just sorting out ECU via a bloke that can demobilise them
I tried to sort it with reflashing the ECU IC900 chip to accept new keys, for some reason it wont talk to the ecu via the transponder / immobilzer ecu.

Does it feel much different to drive?
Like a new car, just feels modern, and with the suspension I can't ask for much more.
Was a bit 80s feeling with the old 4 speed setup, how they yawn from gear to gear, not so bad in a UZZ30 but you notice it in a UZZ32, just too slow with the stock engine.

Yeah can't wait.
Got paddles on the back of the wheel so will make for a more engaging drive.
At the moment the 5 speed is a bit useless in it's controlability, engine brake into 2nd and then upshifting to third with the shifter takes 1-2 seconds! Awful.
It's quick enough left in drive but obviously you are in the highest gear off throttle in those conditions. Not sporty.
