Can anyone recommend a set of aftermarket leads that suit the V8 and fit well (ie. not too long and therefore untidy). Has anyone used the NGK leads that they recommend for our cars (RC-LXN802)? I'm keen to find a cheaper alternative to the $400+ factory leads.

So stoked, got a full set of 2JZ-GE leads for $65! They are marked "BNT" and packaging looks to be from Singapore.
They are marked for "3 litre JZS133" which is the 2JZ-GE Crown.
The leads themselves compare well in look and feel with the OEM leads, so I'll test them with the multimeter and then let you all know how I get on with them once they are in.
Same place caries 1UZ-FE leads for $95, again full sets including all the clips.

Well the new leads have been in since Thursday, fit perfectly and are a huge improvement over the old ones. I made the job difficult on myself by dropping a banjo bolt into the engine bay, but got it back in the end.
Time will tell if they last, but they really did seem to be pretty good quality.
If anyone in Auckland needs some leads for a 2JZ-GE or 1UZ-FE and is on a budget, let me know and I'll pass on the details of this guy.

I've not had a chance to chase the leads yet (...a job for the Christmas break). But someone (thanks Daryl) put me on to a site called carjunky, where they have listed some Prestolite leads for the SC400 at only US$41.39!!

I eventually got the Eagle leads that Evan suggested, after reading about various problems with the Top Gun leads. They had to be ordered in from the supplier in Sydney by a local parts place, and cost $175. No problems with them and they fit great.
