Next question for the experts, my soarer had one of those crappy after market cheap alarm immobilizers with total cheap two button plastic key fobs. Anyway the master key for the car with the button for unlocking the doors originally also worked to open/close the doors, however you needed to press after market one to de-activate the immobilizer before you could start it.
Ok so thats all the info befroe it went wrong, then the immobilizer unit died and got one of those mobile autoelectrics to come out to start the car, basically all the guy did was fiddle around under steering wheel for 20 mins, and when he resurfaced and told me he had disconnected the control unit for alarm cause it was wrecked, relieved my of $294 for unplugging it. Now the boot release switch inside the car does nothing, the factory master key doesnt open the doors, and i obviously dont have an alarm or anything.
Now dont mind not having alarm until i can save up for a proper system but having to use a key to open doors is just so 1980's! Who knows what goes on under there enough to tell me what this guy has done that means the door thing wont open, and why my master key now doesnt open?
OH and i should probably mention that even though it is meant to be disconnected when i start it up, it sounds like the alarm is clicking for about 30 seconds as though it is trying to flash the indicators.
I am not very technically savee so if you can help please make instructions simple.

I need help with my alarm/immobiliser too, who are the experts for this? Basically its in the car and I know nothing about it (except that it works ha ha), there's no manual and as with any alarm installation its all rather secret. Where are they tucked away usually?
