Some of mine have failed after about 3 years. I originally had them done by Mark Paddick, but as we all know he is no longer around (R.I.P. mate).

Am looking for someone to replace them for me as I don't have the knowledge or time to do so. Is there anyone, preferably within Sydney, that can help me out with this? Will obviously pay for your time, etc.

depends how it has been done. you can get t5 neo leds that are already made to be 12v or you can get little ones that you need to wire up resistors. they are relatively easy to do i was surprised how easy it was when i done mine. may pay to take it to an auto electrician. just take it out and refit it yourself to save labour costs

Now all of the LED's are dead :-(

Can you give me more info on the LEDs I need? Or can I just take it to any half-decent auto electrician and he'll know?

Anybody have any suggestions?

If you can do it yourself remove them from the circuit board and take them into a local jaycar store or similar and explain that you want similar LED's that have a higher reliability rating etc etc I'm sure they'd be able to help you out. If you can remove them its just as easy to install and as Aaron says you'll save on labour costs. If you don't have the time just take it to any electronic repairer, doesn't have to be auto electrican.

LEDs already dead? I thought these were meant to last longer than the original globes? Ive just replaced all mine with original globes. Sort of glad I did now.
I agree with Hakan, take the unit out yourself, and take it to an ELECTRONICS repairer, not an auto elec.

I did the conversion my self, took my sweet ass time because i didnt want to stuff anything up, the auto sparky quoted me $300ish to do it and they have never worked on a soarer unit... In the end it was worth it

You get what you pay for...

Cheap LED's will fail in no time if they are driven too hard..

Get a quality LED like OSRAM from farnell or RS and they have a data sheet with lifetimes and lumens at different currents.

At the brightness required for backlighting, they really should last longer than you do..

I'l do it for you if you want Vinh, as a return favour for lending me your exhaust ages ago. Which I still have if you want it back

I'm also after a broken/bleeding unit so I can revert my CC unit back from leds to globes if anyone has one cheap

Oh crap, I completely forgot about that David. You can have it mate! I really don't have a need for it as my current exhaust doesn't attract attention.

I'll shoot you a PM.
