Hi My rubber socks between the body and the doors are perished. Does anyone know part numbers or places I can purchase new ones from? If so rough price too? Thanks

Can they be fitted over the wires, or do you have to undo all the wires and thread them through?
From memory, you need to feed the loom through. It isn't too hard as there are loom plugs down in the kick panel, and just inside the door itself (again- from memory)

Thanks Nathan. I wonder if we can get them from the states or Japan. Or if a "camry" or "falcodore" boot will fit well enough or can be modified or grafted with the old one. I'll do some research.

I'd have a look at some Toyota models. It is one of those parts you wouldn't spend too much time re-engineering for each and every model.
Consider buying something you can cut and slip into the stock boots at each end as well. Cut a neat hole in the worn out boots and have nice flexible new rubber in the bit that is exposed and does all the work.

Ahh! Brilliant, I think there would be someone that could "fuse" the two together without much of a seem. Hmmmmm... I like the idea!

I would try Amayama Trading (http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/messages/285/321563.html?1282541124). I asked them last week about a celsior auto shift selector, thinking I would have to shell out for the complete thing, but they were able to sell every part of it individually, down to the smallest spring and screw. Don't know if the same would apply for the rubber sock, but its worth a try because Justin at Amayama responds quickly.
