After having some problems with my reverse camera I decided to have a root around in my boot. Whilst doing this I found that there were two wires free from a group of wires. I was going to fiddle but being a bit of a rookie I thought it would be better to ask if anyone had a good idea what they were first before I go something by accident.

I have also had a problem with my EMV dying on me. The screen is black and doesn't respond to touch, as well as the radio or buttons not turning on or doing anything, the air con although still works. Does anyone have any suggestions what this could be ? A few days before, the screen would wait for the car to warm up before it would turn on, but now it's completely dead.

EMV can die due to fuse blowing in driver footwell due to the wires shorting when opening and shutting the boot lid (first picture shown) however, since you say the air con (screen?) still works, then it sounds like and EMV failure fault .

The two wires shown look like the rear spoiler brake light feeds.

OEM camera cables/connectors/control box is on other side of the boot.

Thanks for that guys, I will have a look in the morning, the light most probably isn't working as everything seems to have gone wrong in the past month.

A Land Cruiser smashed in to the back of me, on the drivers side so you never know it could of shifted the boot a little. Also my ecu decided to frazzle and has just been replaced so I will check your suggestions and let you know as soon as I do.

Had a look after work today and indeed it was my spoiler light. I will have an attempt at fixing it on sunday along with my emv.
