The other day i had my car idling in the driveway and i decided to put my AC on and when i did it shut off my car. I started my car again and it did the same thing. I tried again and held my foot to the floor and turned the ac on again. This time it stayed on but the car was hating life and kept spluttering. Help Please?

Sounds like a seized compressor.

Have someone look at the compressor whilst someone in the car turns on the AC.

The compressor face should spin. If it doesn't then it's seized and that's the end of your ac system.

If it's a seized compressor the belt will slip and will be easily heard.
