Hi all,
I have a 97' vvti soarer that comes with the Toyota Voice GPS (very amusing) EMV screen / Radio / TV / CD - Tape changer etc. At the moment only the AM radio is working.

Is it possible to:

- Fix the motorised tilt / open function so i can get to the cd / tape player.

- Fix the tv / FM radio functions

Ben, the radio will need a band expander for FM.

The GPS can actually take a normal GPS computer from a similar aged OZ car - but due to age and cost , it is not really worth it .

TV requires a separate TV tuner to be added .

If however , the motorised front does not work I'd bin it .

Since the unit it a standard double din unit , it is easy to replace.

many thanks for the responses guys.
It's interesting to see how different the newer model turbo EMV is from the older v8 ones..

I've enjoyed hearing Betsy (the japanese bird) telling me where to turn every 10 mins or so but I think it's time to pull it out.

Late model V8s also get a voice ,But with 6 disks in navi computer cant be converted.
Maybe you should borrow a Toyota single disk just to see what would happen?
