OK guys, I have pretty much worn out the search button on the site, and I apologise if I've missed a thread that explains this comprhensively, but I'm tearing my hair out here!
I purchased some HID's as my headlights are rubbish. I proceeded to follow one of the threads on here in regards to removing my headlights (aftermarket black ones). Easy.
Took them out, and it looks like the aftermarket headlights have a weird connector for the main light. Is it supposed to have a wiring harness that just plugs into the back? Mine has a rubber cap with wires running through, but they are just blade-ended and connect to the globe and the surround to power normal globes.
I took these out and tried to just retrofit them to the HID ballast and it just flickers. What do I need to get to connect them. Its a bit dodgy connecting the wires to the ballast so is there some sort of wiring harness I can put them into that will plug in?
Should I just buy a couple of HB4 heads like the above link, and splice the +ve and -ve wires from the car to the harness and then attach it all that way?

Are you talking about the 12v or high voltage side?
from the existing loom to the ballast a insulated spade is fine, I noticed with the kit I installed that the spade terminals weren't tight so I crushed them slightly with pliers to make them a tight fit.
Flickering may be due to a poor connection, check all the connectors are tight and the battery is charged when you switch the lights on

The after market low beams are different to the standard Soarer low beams, so if you got a HID kit to fit a Soarer, then you will have the wrong globes (been there, done that)
