Hey Guys,

Well this thread has been slightly covered here:
http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/messages/282/24786.html?1130647012 but the situation of this person was/is different to mine, so I will (once again) ask for your awesome advice :-)

Anyway, my speakers are currently crackling in my 92 UZZ31 Soarer LTD.

As far as I know, these were NOT crackling a month ago and is increasingly getting worse.

You can't really notice it with loud songs (Like a bit of Led Zepplin) but when you get the quiet ones on, it is unbearable.

It doesn't crackle badly all the time however, sometimes it will be pretty much fine and then get worse, or will just be crud from the beginning.

ALl of my speakers appear to be working.

Our sound comes from our stacker in the boot and through FM (88.3) to our car through the radio.

maybe your speakers are on the way out.

Or could be a loose wire that's doing all the problem its hard to say could be 20 things and only one of them is the problem. But My guess is have a look at your speakers for any cracks and splits

i have a similar thing too, my rear speakers crackle pretty badly but only when the cabin is hot. I can stop the crackling by turning whatever device i have plugged in down to half (ipod / my digital set top box that i use got mp3's) then when the cabin has cooled down i can turn the device up to full. i think mine is the radio unit on its way out

What about the buzz from the rear speakers when the sound is a bit bassy, even when people talk on AM radio? What is that buzzy annoying sound?

Could be capacitors in your radio tuner (i put a new tuner in mine and it seems to have fixed my issues!)
