Hey guys i am the new proud owner of a tt soarer, the car is great accept for a few minor things.

One being I get the engine electrical system warning light appearing every now and then. Now after doing the ecu reset as shown on this forum to see how much difference it would make to how my tt drove, it was not long until the message came up again and now as soon as it does, my turbos spool but they don't boost and effectively don't work. The thing is they have whined once or twice, so i'm stuck as to whether it may be a problem with the turbos or my electrical system which is cutting them off for some reason as this problem only seems to occur after the warning light appears on the dash.

I'm lost as to what is wrong with my car and any help is greatly appreciated.

cheers matt.

It could be an electrical problem affecting the ECU causing lack of performance making you think there is a problem with the turbos.

Check for error codes and post them.

Or use the menu, there is a topic called "Soarer Diagnostics" that might have some relevance.

okay, so i've managed to do some diagnostics on the car, i had EFI N/G come up with the errors, 31 and 52. I checked and these two are the MAP sensor and the Knock sensor. I assume the MAP sensor could be the culprit in stopping my turbos from working?

Hmmm, seems like if you're turbos are spinning but you're not getting any boost , chances are there is a leak in the system somewhere. Have you checked your intake for leaks?
