I am about to fit HID bulbs and have read that they should not be used on cars that use Auto lights switching. Does anyone have experience with this? Do those who run Philips HID disconnect their auto lights or just never turn the headlight switch to auto (furtherest twist of the wand)? Cheers and thanks for the help. John

John,
I have been using HID globes, both low and high beam, for almost 3 years. I have not experienced any problems with the switch either on normal or auto. Perhaps a problem could arise if you had the light switch on auto and were continually driving from a dark area into bright sunlight, making the lights switch on and off. I would suggest you use the normal setting on the switch.
