I have read the "Soarer diagnostics" but can not find the codes that are showing on my EMV screen. A/C F2 C/D E8 39 TV DO Some Japanese word F2 and DO ECU 04 Tel DO GPS D0 I imagine the D0 means it is non functional but what are the others? Thanks in advance John
I Think they are the diagnostics for the EMV only. ECU is for that. Not engine ECU. do the diagnostics port jumper and use the scroll button on the dash to get any engine or transmission errors

Hi Michael, I did the port jumper and pressed the scroll button on the dash and it went through just a few headings: like Trac (NG - I don't have traction control) Sus (suspension - I don't have that any more, have coil overs, was NG) ABS - OK and others ok so guess it is not picking up anything wrong, right? Is there any way of getting an error code on the CD that is not working and is there any way to find out what those other codes mean? You say "ECU is for that" but not engine ECU, then what ECU? I know this is reviving an old thread but like John has done, I also recently done a Diag test on the EMV in my V8 Soarer that I recently bought a couple months ago...
my results in Diag mode was this...
A/C = DO (but was F2 at an earlier date on the list) and AIRCOND works perfectly
TV = DO TEL = DO GPS = DO ECU = 06 CD-rom = E8 39 (stacker is removed & no longer in the boot) and factory cd/tape deck has been replaced with a SONY 1 din cd player under the emv screen
I figured out that DO does mean not connected or unable to connect from what i read on another site, but I can't seem to find the meaning of codes for the ECU and CD-rom... can anyone here shed some light?
Also my EMV works well only with the left hand side buttons.. on the startup screen when you turn the Acc/Ign on, where it only shows the day/date in the middle, it just shows the words AiRCOND and AUDIO on the top and bottom, the rest is blank... doesn't show temp of aircond and when I press the VENT button screen comes up blank also, no fan speeds etc. I have read and believe this is a common problem on EMV's.... when only half the options work? Anyone come across this themselves and know how to rectify this problem also?
I'm thinking maybe some of these faults also are causing the factory reverse camera not to work properly, screen tries to engage when reverse gear is selected but screen is dark and blank, besides the 4 red dots that are used for distance to objects!
