hey guys,
i was driving home yesterday and the soarer decide to turn herself off while going across the story bridge here is brisbane. all dash lights came on but it seemed as if the immobiliser had armed itself. after turning it off and on 3 or 4 times she started and i got home ok. this morning on the way to work she did it to me twice more so im guessing there is some sort of bad earthing problem or a loose wire somewhere and i figure it will probably be easier to just buy and install a whole new alarm. does anyone have any recommendations ?? im looking for a pretty standard immobiliser and alarm but i dont want to spend heaps of cash. my car is insured and if someone wants to go to the trouble of stealing it then good luck to them.

try shorting out FP and B+ in the diagnostics port to make sure it is not the fuel pump ECU .

im thinking it might be a fuel pump ecu issue hey. its done it a few times in the last few days and ive tried different thing to restart it and it doesnt seem to be related to the alarm because i can restart the car if i just turn the ignition off (and dont touch the alarm) for 10 seconds then restart. sometimes it will start straight away, other times i cant hear the walbro pump turning and its not getting fuel. Whats a fuel pump ECU worth?
