hey guys on the way home tonight i went to turn my right indicator on and it mad a funny buzz sound then blew the fuse. i stopped at a servo and brought a pack and changed it over tried it again and the left works fine but the right made the noise again then blew the fuse for a second time. so i put a bigger fuse in there and tried it again. so i could try and narrow it down and the left indicator works perfect but the right just makes a constant buzz noise when its flicked on. can anyone point me in the right direction? im guessing its the flasher can but i dont know were it lives or were to start looking. any help would be greatly appreciated.

a fuse blows when there is excess current. I doubt if it is the flasher as it is the same for right and left.

I would check around all the indicators for a short on the +12v line

what happens when you put the hazards on?

the left light blinks and the right makes the noise.i found the flasher unit ,pulled it out and inspected it and it looks fine. ive just had a thought. i put a new FMIC on the other day and i noticed when i was putting the hotside piping through the hole in the side of the engine bay it touches some of the wiring loom there. im wondering if it pinched a wire against the metal as i think this is where the indicator wires run dont they?

adrian, that would do it. as above , look for a damaged wire that is shorting out. an obvious place is in any area that you have been working.

i found it last night. it was pinched by the FMIC pipe so i just cut it where the brake was and soldered then heat shrunk it. i then changed the way it ran so it it no longer getting squashed.
